Just like the mix with the Tonic as minor and the Subdominant as major. And maybe also because it's a popular mode in game themes, like Dark World from Zelda for example.

Locrian. I know there's all that stuff about not being able to properly tonicize it because the tonic chord is diminished and all that, but I like that unresolved quality.
