^^We understand that, but your approach to the issue is a little... well, we see you're inexperienced, if that's the way to put it.

I'd say posting your email address online is worse than putting your Friend Code there, seeing as there are spam scripts that can automatically pick up email addresses and cause a little mayhem in your inbox. And, as Dude said, mischievous people can use your mail to sign up for lots of sites and services you don't want to be afflicted with. I'd take it down, if I were you.

If you want anonymity, tell people to send you a PM if they want your address. Private Messages are hidden for everybody but the recipient (unless you save them in some outbox or something, people can't even access their own sent messages), and is generally the most secure option.
