Companies whose only forms of customer service are phone or in-person. We have the internet, so use it!!! Even worse is when they do have an email address or help forum, but they just redirect you to use the phone line.

No, it is definitely not. It only makes things more difficult for me and can create a lot more misinderstanding than inquiries made in writing. As an example, when I lost my debit card last year, the person I called at the bank to try and get a replacement was completely unhelpful (and evidently couldn't even understand me when I was trying to spell out my address), and I ended up having to go into the local branch to take care of it (which was inconvenient for me, time-wise).

I mean there's no denying that literally talking to someone is a faster form of communication than typing out an email and waiting at least 24 hours for a response.

I meant by phone. And usually finding a customer support number takes the same amount of effort as finding a customer support email.
