Reading Paradise Lost right now. We have to read it all by the Monday after Labor Day. At the end of Book 3 right now. It feels like it could be over by Book 6 and it would be a great read. Don't know how I'm going to make it through the rest after Book 6. help
And the moral of the story: Quit while you're a head.

Welp, I just noticed I hit 1000 posts about 20 of them ago. I was gonna make my 1000th something special, but forgot. Oh, well. Maybe something for 2000. :-\

Is it just me or has there been more negative news in the media last year or so? Maybe it's all the apocalyptic-esque stuff like WW3, climate catastrophe, other catastrophic events, and etc. But also just smaller things, like more violence, terroristattacks and other tragedies. Whenever I look at the news there always seems to be some really bad news there. OR it could just be me, caring more for those stuff than before. But idk. it kind of disturbs me.

The media has always been this negitive. You're probably just noticing it more now

I think it depends.  Local news is usually small feel good type stories and national or state news covers the "bad" stuff.  It's mostly because when things go right there's not a story to cover "man drives to work safely" isn't getting any viewership.

Or both. She lives in the Netherlands. Could be both.

That reminds me: when I was taking ESL, my teacher had a super heavy polish accent and I swear you couldn't understand her if English was your first language
