Maelstrom

Before I say that, lemme give a few similarities
1. Both are kickstarter funded indie games
2. Both are melee based sidescrollers
What's different?
Hollow knight goes for a hand-drawn art style, while shovel knight goes for the NES asthetic
HK has a very peaceful and relaxing OST, while SK goes for catchy chiptunes
And the biggest one: HK is a Metroidvania, while SK is a level based mega man type game.
A lot of this depends on personal preference, but I personally think Hollow Knight looks better, plays better, and has a better sense of progression.
SK probably wins on the soundtrack, while HK wins by a mile in the storytelling department.

A very respectable set of reasoning. I should get this game someday.

Dekkadeci

Why the heck do I, whenever I heard piano transcriptions of Hollow Knight songs, immediately go for the energetic ones like Mantis Lords?

Maelstrom

City of Tears is my personal favorite. I just put the controller down and listened.

SlowPokemon

Sooo even though I only just got to start Silver last night, my preorder of Danganronpa V3 came a few days early in the mail today??? (Forgot I ordered the special edition, so it came with a surprise art book, two CDs, a pair of headphones, and a backpack and hat of all things)

So I guess I'll be putting Silver on hold because I really need me some horror comedy action
