Quote from: Nebbles on May 22, 2016, 12:23:56 PMWe use finale notepad here, and you should be able to download a free version of that.
Okay so I got Finale Notepad but it won't let me import the song from iWriteShetMusic so does that mean I have to rewrite the whole thing?

EDIT: Also, I wrote the song in 3/4 time, and it won't let me change the key nor tempo without buying the full version, which I don't have the money on iTunes do.

EDIT AGAIN: Also, this app won't let me write in the lyrics like I did in the other software -_-

What software should I be using to do all that? The only music writing software I have right now is an iOS app called "iWriteSheetMusic".

Quote from: Maelstrom on May 22, 2016, 09:43:39 AMYou may not like this, but you'll need a .mus file created with finale.
That means exporting a XML file from whatever program you use, importing it to  finale, and editing it properly.
HOWEVER.
This will need a bit of editing.
This is a long song, and does not repeat verbatim and would need a bit of editing to be 100% accurate.

Also: What version of the song are you getting this from.

1. Thanks for the info, and I realized I don't have the software to make a .mus file, so is there another way to get it on the website?
2. The version I transcribed was the basic version of "Lost In Thoughts All Alone" from Birthright, however I did include the lyrics to parts of the Conquest and Revelation versions on seperate lines, since they all follow the same tune. If you guys want, I could transcribe the Conquest and Revelaton versions of this song.

Quote from: Nebbles on May 22, 2016, 12:31:52 AMYou wrote the lyrics?! Holy cow, thank you so much!
So here is my question- if it's correct and sounds good enough- what do I need to do to get this song on the main NSM website?

I'm proud to announce that I have finally finished an ACCURATE arrangement of "Lost In Thoughts All Alone". Accurate in contrast to many other arrangements I've seen. The song is in the key of Db Major, but everyone arranges it in the key of F Major for some reason. I also wrote some of the lyrics in too, so if you feel the urge to sing, be my guest. The link is below. If it needs more work or fixing up, definitely let me know.

Just to make sure I'm not wasting time as I make an attempt at writing this- has anyone else tried also?

Quote from: Purple1222119 on March 25, 2016, 12:07:51 AMI actually started arranging this a little bit, haha. Maybe I'll finish it.

Funny, actually, I started working on it yesterday and I'm like half way finished. I'm still kind of new to arranging, so I'm thinking yours will probably be better.

Quote from: mastersuperfan on March 22, 2016, 08:36:49 PMI love End of All... and Fire Emblem: Fates, too...

I'd love to arrange this one, and I already had plans to. Unfortunately, I'm quite busy at the moment; it will likely be about a month until I'll be able to start arranging again, and even then this one probably won't be at the top of my list.

At the latest I'd probably get this done during the summer; if someone else wants to try it before then, feel free.

I could take a swing at it just to see how far I get. But since I'm pretty new to arranging I can't guarantee it will be like, AMAZING. I'd have to start in a few days since I'm wrapping up a variation of "Megalovania" for my YouTube channel.

If you have not heard the song already, here is the link below. This game has one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard, and I'm sure myself and countless other people are looking for Sheet music of this song. Make it happen! :)

Are you talking about the original soundtrack from Fire Emblem Fates or the remix in Smash Bros? I'd be willing to help with either one :)

Quote from: Yug_Guy on February 16, 2016, 04:13:47 PMUh, I'm confused. Are you asking someone to arrange songs for you, or are you stating that you're working on these songs already? Because if it's the latter, this thread doesn't belong here.

Also for future reference, you should request specific songs instead of saying, "I'd like songs from XXX game."

I was stating that I have already started working on those songs and would appreciate it if someone would like to look at the arrangements to correct anything or offer some tips on music-arranging. Again, I'm still kind of new to transcribing and still really new to this website, so if I posted to the wrong part of the forum, pardon me.

To be specific, some songs I worked on were the themes of Rathalos, Tigrex, Lagiacrus, Gore Magala, Shagaru Magala, Dalamadur, and Proof of a Hero. I may take a little while to respond, should you reply to this or contact me personally.

I have already started working on the melodies of some songs from the Monster Hunter series, mostly from 4 Ultimate. I am still somewhat new to transcribing so if you are interested, feel free to contact me.

Hello, NSM Forum! I have been using this website for over a year and have finally created an account. I have actually transcribed a few video game songs myself that are not quite complete that I may need some help with. I have been working on quite a few songs from the Monster Hunter and Shovel Knight games, so if anyone would like me to email them what I have done so far feel free to ask. I'd really like to collaborate with someone on this.
Thanks, and happy new year :)
