So I'm not very active on here lol. I'd like to announce that I've made a new discord server dedicated entirely to shiny hunting.

Feel free to join and invite others and help the server grow. We intend to facilitate trades with other shiny hunters which tend to be difficult. We also plan to host a variety of shiny hunting contests throughout each year. Oh and we have Pokecord if you're into that. I will ask though that you please not mention the shiny giveaway that I do on this site (which btw is still a thing but I'm probably not adding more groups like I thought I was going to).

Side note: if anyone has experience creating discord bots I'd like some assistance because there are 3 bots I'd like to create for the server that would really help everyone out a lot.

Pokemon Sun

The story was great and a nice shift from the formulaic stories we've seen in the past. Also had some really nice character development that was great to see.
Story rating 9/10

The OST isn't one of my favorites honestly with few tracks being great and the rest just being ok.
OST rating 6/10

The difficulty for this game is basically non-existent. I literally never once had to level grind. Never once whited out. The only battle that actually gave me any trouble was the battle with Hau just before the League. Additionally obtaining the Oval and Shiny Charms is ridiculously easy in these games. Haven't even put in 100 hours and have both.
Difficulty rating 2/10

There's not much of a postgame in sun. Mostly just the battle tree, the zygarde cells, and the quest for the shiny charm. Pretty lame if you ask me.

I'll be honest these games look great. This isn't really much to say about it.

Ok so this game had the same basic mechanics as every other main series Pokemon game. Not really surprising there and they're pretty solid.
As far as additional features go there's the Poke Peligo which if I'm being honest I only ever use the first three islands. There's trainer customization which dear God I've spent too much time doing. There's Pokemon refresh which is basically a better version of Amie. There's SOS battles which are rather tedious but are an effective way to obtain shinies. There's the Masuda Breeding mechanic. Again not surprising. There's the Festival Plaza which is kinda just a over-gimmicked Union Room. Getting rid of gyms and HMs was great  but we'll overdue. That's it. Feel free to tell me if I missed something.

This game was honestly the most fun I've had out a Pokemon game since gen 4. I really wish I'd played it sooner. I flat out enjoyed most if not all of this game.

Honestly feels like it should be higher but the lack of much of a postgame and the extremely low difficulty really weigh the rating down. Even still they might have just made gen 7 my 3rd favorite Pokemon generation behind only gen 2 and gen 4.

Additionally I am able to infinitely reproduce these events. This is not like how events normally work (usually it's just once per game cartridge). However I have managed to find a way to completely overwrite the wondercards. Thus I can receive these events more than once.

Hello everyone. I am currently in the process of creating my very own Pokemon rom hack. This ROM hack will include various changes including map and story edits, some Pokemon evolution changes, some changes to Pokemon attributes the ability to catch all 493 Pokemon (because I'm hacking Platinum), some new items and various other miscellaneous tweaks. All changes will be documented in this thread.

If anyone is interested in helping me with Alpha/Beta testing, please shoot me a PM.

changes for Alpha 0.2.1

Increased text speed.
Lower case Pokemon names.
Starters have been changed to Magby, Spheal, and Hoppip
All moves have been updated to the Gen 6 stats (move power, physical/special, accuracy)(this does not include the Fairy Type being added)

evolution changes

Vapereon will now evolve into Suicune when levelled up with a Ho-Oh in the party.
Flareon will now evolve into Entei when levelled up with a Ho-Oh in the party.
Jolteon will now evolve into Raikou when levelled up with a Ho-Oh in the party.
Phione will now evolve into Manaphy when exposed to a Water Stone.
Machoke will now evolve into Machamp at level 36.
Kadabra will now evolve into Alakazam at level 36.
Graveler will now evolve into Golem at level 36.
Haunter will now evolve into Gengar at level 36.
Kirlia will now evolve solely based on gender at level 30 (Gardevoir if female; Gallade if male). The Dawn Stone is no longer required.
Wurmple will continue to evolve at its normal level (7) but will now only evolve into Silcoon during the day and only into Cascoon during the night.
Nincada will now evolve into Shedinja when exposed to a Fire Stone.
Eevee will now evolve into Espeon using the Dawn Stone.
Eevee will now evolve into Umbreon using the Dusk Stone.

Golbat now evolves into Crobat at level 40
Poliwhirl now evolves into Politoed when leveled up with King's Rock.
FIXED A mistake led to Kadabra evolving into Alakazam at level 16. It now evolves at level 36.
FIXED A mistake led to Machoke evolving into Machamp at level 28. It now evolves at level 36.
Ponyta now evolves into Rapidash at level 30 as opposed to 40.
Slowpoke now evolves into Slowking when leveled up with King's Rock.
FIXED A mistake led to Onix not having the altered evolution method. It now evolves when leveled up with a Metal Coat.

Other Tweaks

Nidorina and Nidoqueen are now in the Monster and Field egg groups. This needs testing.
Raikou Entei and Suicune are now in the Field egg group. This needs testing.
Celebi now has a gender ratio of 99% female/1% male. This needs testing.
Unown is now in the Amorphous egg group. This needs testing.
Combee's gender ratio has been altered to 10% male 90% female making evolution into Vespiquen easier. This needs testing.
Azurill's gender ratio has been altered to 50/50. Azurill will now longer change genders upon evolving. This needs testing.

This step is only necessary for the first time that you are patching the ROM. Skip to the second paragraph if this is not your first time.To apply the following patches you will need the Universal Pokemon Game Randomizer. Search that exactly into google and it will be the first link. Open up the randomizer and then click Produce Seed and open the Presets file I gave you. It should be a different file extension than any of the other items in the archive. Open up the ROM and apply the settings. Now you need to save it.

Next you are going to want to open Nitro Explorer 3 (If you don't have it, search on Google. It will be the first link). Open your ROM that you just saved through the Randomizer.
Expand the poketool folder
Expand the personal folder
Replace the .narc files with the ones with the corresponding name in the archive. (Example: Replace the evo.narc in the rom with the evo.narc in the archive. )
You should only have to replace 3 .narc files.
You are done. Close the program.

This game works largely the same as Cards Against Humanity.
Each person must try to post the funniest answer to a question (or fill in the blank thingy) they can.
After 3 people have posted their answers the fourth person will decide which is the funniest answer and post the new question or fill in the blank thingy.
We'll do it this way.

Wouldn't it be better for any amount of people to pull out a white card, with the person who asked the question being the card czar? Makes more sense to me at least. Also the next card czar would be the person who won the previous round.

I will still make posts in the creative threads. All in all, my time on the forums has been great and I enjoyed the relationships I've had with all of you. As I said I will be posting some content for you guys but as for discussions I'm done.

This is a text based adventure game.
I will start this game off by creating a scenario and giving a player 2 options to choose from. They option they choose will directly affect what happens next. I will either create the new scenario or request for someone to create it. When a new scenario is created it will be posted as a reply. One rule. you cannot choose an option for two scenarios in a row.

Scenario
You wake up in a strange place and have no idea where you are. You decide to start exploring and eventually stumble upon another person named Mark. He looks to be about 18 and also has no idea where you and he are. The two of you decide to split up to explore. You venture down into the basement and discover what you believe to be a portal. You now have two options:

1. Go find Mark and tell him
2. Jump through the portal

This is a battle to the death. You decide who will win.
Basically I will come up with a character mashup and you decide which one would win in a battle to the death. You must provide facts to back up your statement. Once the official victor is chosen we will move on to the next mashup.
