Here. Still here.

I mean I wish G-Han could have had like a log or something that he used to record what he did and why. I just think it would be interesting to know. Is all.

I was thinking that Help was more directed toward site problems. That's why I posted it here. Link The bass sounds bad because I haven't figured it out yet.

Help! / History

I'm not exactly sure where to post this... What is the history of NinSheetMusic? I came here in 2008, and JaMaHa and G-Han were still here. There aren't a whole lot of members from before then.

Music / Appoggiatura? Acciaccatura? Grace note?
January 11, 2011, 05:01:54 PM
I am arranging Unstable World, and I am having trouble getting my finale sheet to sound right. Around :06 in the video, there is a D power chord with some sort of a grace note on it, but the grace note is ON THE BEAT which quickly resolves to the intended note. All I can seem to do on Finale Songwriter is make the grace note happen slightly before the beat so that the full chord happens on the beat. Can someone help?

Quote from: Sekter77 on January 10, 2011, 09:20:47 AMThe morning theme is really good. The link to Pumpkin Hill is invalid though, you should probably fix that.

I finally went through the songs from Sonic Adventure and the ones I'd really like to see finished whenever you can are Mr. Unsmiley (Sky Rail), Unstable World (Crazy Gadget), Highway in the Sky (Final Rush), and Won't Stop, Just Go (Green Forest). I'll probably decide on some more later but I think this is plenty for now. Thanks for taking on all this Sonic music, it's very appreciated.

Pumpkin Hill has already been submitted.

Quote from: Shadoninja on January 10, 2011, 10:20:49 AMMorning theme

there's too much of a pause in the beginning. I think the first bit is more of a 8th rest-16th-16th rhythm rather than a 16th-16th-8th.

Is there any reason why the F and Eb notes on layer 1 in the bass are sustained and then in layer 2 plays something different? I think it would make more sense to shorten layer 1 to a half note and then move layer 2 to layer 1.

Bar 4 right hand is impossible to play as is. the only solution I can think of is to remove the flute part.

I know some of it is impossible... it's hard to take stuff out of this while retaining it's original character. I'm working on it. New link will be up shortly.

See how you like this.

I feel like this one is fuller and stays a little closer to the original.

Deku:
Lollipop: Some of the left hand notes are flipped upside down if that makes sense. I can't really think of a better way to describe it. If that was intentional, I'll leave it. If not, consider it fixed and accepted.
In The Groove: Hmmm... alright, accepted.

Bed time.

PianoMan:
Lollipop: I don't know what you mean, and it was most certainly not intentional, so I would be happy to try to fix it if I can understand what you mean. Is this better?

Deku:
Lollipop: Yup, that's it.

Pumpkin Hill: The link leads to in the groove.

Green Hill Zone: Accepted, but because I'm a bit of an articulation nut sometimes, I went and added some.

Link fixed. My mistake. I'll try to add more articulation in the future.

Deku:
You don't have to go totally nuts with them, but a few here and there definitely help to capture the feel of the original.

Pumpkin Hill: I fixed up the swing thing you want happening there. Accepted.

Quote from: shadowkirby_64 on December 20, 2010, 06:28:38 PMI am now working on the great sea from zelda wind waker. (yeah, i know you have it already, but i thought it would be fun to make)
Well, if we (DekuTrombonist) deem it better than the one we have, it can be replaced. You should probably change the title of this thread to "shadowkirby_64's Arrangements." It's pretty much the format we go by.

I just don't like it. I feel more at home up north in a city. I guess me living in a small town doesn't help, either.

Quote from: Sekter77 on December 19, 2010, 08:37:20 AMAll this Sonic Adventure stuff is really cool! Since my main instrument is guitar, all these riffs and power chords make me a happy camper. I'll have to learn all of these now that the music's already written out for me. Thanks!
Well, thanks! If there are any in particular you want, I'd love to do it. I'm trying to hit all the good songs from SA2, and I'm struggling to find many ones worth doing. I plan on doing pretty much all the menu music (which is pretty easy), and I'll probably do some of the iconic songs like Live and Learn and It doesn't matter and the City Escape song. I think I'll do the event music (which isn't really for guitar...). But I love the soundtrack, so definitely request songs you'd like.

EDIT: In The Groove from Sonic. MUS
I tried to add the bass where it sounded empty, but it's cumbersome in some places.
