Quote from: NocturneOfShadow on May 04, 2015, 06:41:01 PMwe should probably not post in this thread to keep it all nice and tidy.
I agree with Noc.

Let's all post here instead and not clutter up the main thread thing, yeah?

Help! / Improving at Playing Piano
April 14, 2015, 06:25:53 PM
I took piano lessons but had to quit last September because I had to move. I can't continue my lessons here because they're too expensive.
So my question is, how can I practice by myself and learn how to play more advanced pieces? I'm kind of stuck right now at this level and though I want to improve, just casually playing piano doesn't seem like it'll help me much.
I'd appreciate any help :I

Help! / I'm Stuck on Rhythms
January 31, 2015, 09:28:37 AM
I started arranging this song but I can't figure out how to fix the rhythms in measures #4, #20, #21, #26, and #38 so I just kinda put random notes in there. Also I think I messed up a lot in other places too. Uh any help?

Also anything else you can help with besides the rhythms would be great. :P

Help! / Questions About Arranging
June 02, 2014, 07:14:47 PM
What exactly do you guys look for when you're arranging it by ear? What do you do with songs that have multiple voices? What about songs that have a lot of strings instruments and stuff that makes it hard to hear any notes? Finding the (quiet)bass line? Adding harmony? Easy way to find the key?
I doubt I'll ever stop posting in the help thread. xD

Help! / Clefs n Shtuff
May 12, 2014, 07:47:19 PM
So there's this song, right: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uS74ixjy7PA
So I was arranging the song and I'm like wtf this is impossible to play on piano.
Cuz both are down in ze bass place thing and if you tried to play it your hands'd flop and die tangling in each other. Soooooooo can I move ze theme up to the treble clef even if it's not really the actual pitch thingy or what?
I'm 98% sure that I'm making absolutely no sense at all right now.

Help! / Copyright & Composers
March 01, 2014, 07:03:09 PM
Idk how to find composer names and copyright information for this song:
Can anybody help me and/or tell me how I can find this info(for any song I mean, is there a list somewhere or something?)
Also it says in the description of the video that the composer is TBA but I don't know who or what that is and I'm not really sure so if anyone can clarify that for me, that'd be great.

Help! / Newbie
January 28, 2014, 05:04:56 PM
Hi, I'm kinda new to the forums. I play piano and lately I've been interested in contributing a couple of arrangements(and maybe even more?) to NSM. :P But the thing is, I don't know how to arrange at all. :( At the moment I'm trying to arrange Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity - Desperation (Light Arr.) by ear, but I'm afraid that I'm getting everything wrong and that it'd be messy and sound weird (Wow, trying new things is so intimidating). Should I just quit on this altogether? Should I keep trying? If anybody can help a newbie out, it'd be much appreciated. :-\
P.S. Did I post this in the wrong place? Lol maybe
