In an arrangement like this, where the 2nd (red) layer is the main tune of the song:



Would it be appropriate to leave it as it is with a quarter note tied to the same note as a dotted half note, or would I change that to a rest? I cant tell if you're supposed to have both the notes there or not.

Just wondering since I couldnt find it anywhere else, how many pieces of sheet music for a game series must there be until a whole new section is opened? Meaning when does a series get moved from the "other" section to its own section on the main site?

This is a topic dedicated to my project involving everyone's favorite Pokemon: Bidoof. I have taken the task of making every Pokemon into a Bidoof, just because they need to be

I wont post the individual regions once I finish them, but rather the entire project once it has been completely finished. I will however update the topic when I finish a region and post a picture of the favorite one I had for each (I cant figure out how to make them bigger than the one above).

The difficulty of the different sheets on the website varies, but I think there should be some little symbol or word next to the name of the sheet indicating the difficulty of the piece. Another website where I sometimes gets sheets does that (here), and it doesnt seem to be that space-consuming or cluttered. I know that the moderators are trying to keep submissions and other things running right now, but other than rating all the different sheets this should be a relatively simple thing to do and would make the site more appealing to visitors

I've noticed that whenever I put a repeat in a song, it doesnt use the repeat when I play back the song. Also, the same thing happens when I turn it into a midi. I used shado's template for a few of my songs and those repeats worked, so I know its not something wrong with my program. Is there some setting I need to put on or some invisible marking so that the song replays itself?

In this song Im arranging now, at the very beginning of the song is a 1 and 1/2 or so beats of the song's opening, then the song actually starts. The song loops infinetly, but when it loops it doesnt include the intro. I dont know what its called or if it even exists, but I remember seeing something in some other sheet music that had something like the first measure being shorter than the rest (its hard to explain). When I loop the song I cant end it on the right beat or start the repeat on the beginning of a measure. It might be because I just have it in the wrong key signature, but Ive tried 3/4 and 4/4 and it still doesnt work (Though it might be 12/8 but I want to be sure before i rewrite it for the 3rd time)

I know that Im supposed to be worrying about the quality of the sheet and not the midi, but when I play back my song on finale notepad the background part seems louder than the main melody. Is there any way to fix that, or does it even matter?

Ok, so Im driving myself crazy trying to figure out what the left hand notes should be in this song. It looks easy, but its not, at least for me. All I need help with is the correct notes to go in measure 9, then I could figure out the rest using the same pattern

I've actually been trying to figure out these notes for a full day and its not working 

Alot of the time when I arrange a song that ends in a loop (pretty much every Pokemon song), the timing doesnt work at the end. Either the measure is half a beat too short or a few beats too long. How would I fix this? I only have notepad, so nothing that needs the ful version of Finale

If I wanted to start an arrangement project; not a huge one, just between a few people, where would I create it?

Yeah I know appoggiatura is a long word, and honestly I dont know exactly what it means. Im pretty sure its the smaller short notes played before another note, where you play the first one really quickly. Not a very good description, but is it possible to do this on Finale Notepad? I tried putting a 32nd note there instead, and it sounds right, but it messes up the measures timing

I was in the middle of arranging a song when my computer crashed. I hadn't saved the piece at all, either. Does finale have some sort of recovery options for when the program "closes unexpectedly"?

I attempted putting what scraps of the song "Defend Globe Ending" from PMD Sky I had onto actual sheet music, but Finale notepad has little to work with. As much as I've tried, for some reason the first four measures are extremely fast, while the next 8 or so are so slow its painful. I put rit. and other speed adjusters where they are needed to change the speed but it didn't work. I also couldn't get the copyright on all the pages or the words to be in italics or bolded. I dont know how to make it a PDF on Notepad either :/. If someone with a better version of Finale could fix the mistakes in this, I'd be grateful.

Is it even possible to do these things on Notepad?

Besides Finale, is there any other programs that I could use to arrange music with? I dont really have the money to buy it, so I was wondering if there was any other free software or if everything had to be done on Finale

I'm wondering if anyone has the time to make any of the songs from Pokemon Pinball Ruby and Sapphire, preferrebly the two main themes from the two red and blue boards. I've looked and I can't find any, only ones for the original Pinball.
