Yep, I'll do it! :D

Quote from: fingerz on January 13, 2012, 03:55:38 PMSorry for the wait everyone! GREENHORN FOREST WAS FINISHED LAST YEAR! :P
I just forgot to put it up. Hope you like it!

I've added my stats for 2011. Dunno why, it just looked good to me.

Also, I'm sorry for the lack of arranging. My 3DS has taken the better of me, and I lose motivation for anything during the holidays. More to come soon! :D
Dang, that arrangement was spot on! Nice job bro!
Also, could you do Mushroom Hill Zone for me? I just can't figure out the notes for that one. >_>..

Quote from: Bloop on December 08, 2011, 11:17:10 PMWell, because it's actually Glittertown. I said Greenhorn Forest because I didn't wanted to look arrogant, saying a remix...

XD
No, Greenhorn Ruins is the Glittertown predecessor..

Quote from: fingerz on October 30, 2011, 02:35:08 PMSorry, moose! I didn't have any time to download it this weekend, but I will next weekend. XD

I do have some advise for you before I get my hands dirty on that arrangement of yours:
Do you use Audacity? If not, GET IT! It's one of the best music editing software, as it can do everything from boost the bass to slow everything down. You can start and stop the track with a press of the spacebar, so it's very convenient, and you can start it from any part of the song. This is what I use and it's so much better than just listening to it on YouTube. Just download the song as an mp3 and import it into Audacity. :)
By the way, building up an accurate musical ear takes time. If you want to improve your arrangement, just work on a couple of bars every day, listening to them over and over until you can remember how it goes in your head. Then, transpose that from your head to the computer and check the accuracy of the notes with the actual song. I always start with the bass, that way if it clashes with the right-hand I know it's wrong. Good luck moose and don't give up! :D
Haha man, thanks for the link.

Quote from: jake3343 on October 31, 2011, 07:57:08 PMFor measure 29, 5-3-2-1-3-2-1-2-1-2-3-1-2-3-3

For measure 33, 5-4-2-1-3-2-1-2-1-2-3-1-4-2-1-4

For measure 39, same as 29

For measure 47, 5-3-2-1-3-2-1-2-3-1-2-3-3-3

For measure 55 and 56, 5-3-2-1-3-2-1-2-1-2-3-1-2-3-3, and then 5-4-2-1-3-1 in the right hand followed by 2-1-2-3-1-2-3 in the left hand.
Thanks bro, but did you just play the rising part on the left hand in those measures? I don't know if I can play it coming up and down.........how much practice does it take? I'm right at measure 29(started the song 2 days ago).

Quote from: jake3343 on October 30, 2011, 07:09:34 PMSo you're using this arrangement?

For the first 16th note part, I've always gone 2-3-4-3-2-1-1-4-3-2-1. To go from the A# to A, just slide your thumb off of the accidental. The transition from A to G is somewhat awkward but it works for me.

I think Frank goes 3-4-5-4-3-2-1-3-2-1-2, so you could try that as well.
Thank you sir, but I got the fingering in order a short bit after I typed the post D:. I'm using the same fingering as I did previously, I just got a bit cleaner with playing it, lol.
What about the 16th note part on the left hand? What did you do for that?

Could anyone give me any advice? Alright, I'm playing Kirby Air Ride- Frozen Hillside on piano(the Frank D'Angelo one) and I can do the 16th note part at the beginning pretty ok, but I haven't really played that many 16th notes before in a row and was wondering did I get the fingering right.
I use 4-5-4-3-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1(switch to 4), and repeat to the Middle D.
And also, I'm noticing that when Frank played it on youtube, he skipped the coming down part of the 16th notes. As did Greenlight, so I figure I'll do the same lol. Does anyone mind telling me what notes Frank hit on that rising 16th part? Thanks. :)

Quote from: WarioMan98 on October 28, 2011, 09:04:17 AMlol Have you seen my first arrangements? They're easy songs and a lot of things were wrong! You don't have to give up just because your first arrangement is not perfect. I mean... you need practice, and you won't do a first arrangement perfectly (unless you're Mozart's reincarnation, which I doubt). C'mon, I wanna see more works of yours, Moose!  :)

EDIT: Take a look at this. This is the first arrangement I did in my entire life! It's just four measures that repeat forever!  :P
Maybe you chose a difficult song like "Mushroom Hill" to arrange first. I would recommend you to start with short, easy songs. Wario Land 1, 2 and some from 3 are a good choice to start, among others of course.
Yeah, Mushroom Hill was pretty difficult. Especially the part where the bassline drops into that weird place where you can barely hear it..I'm pretty sure I messed that part up.  :'(
I don't know why I tried to arrange it, just couldn't find any piano sheet music anywhere lol.

Quote from: fingerz on October 27, 2011, 03:32:24 PMDon't worry, I'm going to look at it for you. :)
Read my post up there and tell me if you'd like a page. I can't download files off Megaupload, and my site is SO much more convenient. ;)
I don't know, this may be my first(and last) arrangement. I think I'll leave it up to beasts like yourself at arranging.  ;D
I wanted to at least try it though, so after you take a look at it, could you tell me what needs fixing? Thanks bro.

Quote from: WarioMan98 on October 26, 2011, 08:29:28 AMI'm gonna resume my review with a Pokemon battle:

- WarioMan98 used "Arrangement Review"!
- But it failed!
- "Mushroom Hill Zone arrangement" used "Wrong signature, tempo, notes and notes beat"!
- It's very effective!
- Critical Hit!
- WarioMan98 tried to use "Arrangement Review" again!
- It doesn't affect "Mushroom Hill Zone arrangement"...
- "Mushroom Hill Zone arrangement" used "I don't meet the formatting guidelines WarioMan gave me and I'm still using Megaupload"!
- KO in 1 hit!
- WarioMan98 fainted!
- Arranger Trainer switched WarioMan98.
- Go Shadoninja or some other expert arranger that can handle such disorganized arrangement!

So, yeah. Sorry Moose... A lot of things wrong, but I know it's your first arrangement. It's completely normal, don't worry... ;)
I'm letting another arranger to continue the battle...  :-X

?
Wait, what?
I know you're saying there's a lot wrong with it, but I don't quite get what you're saying..the poke-ball analogy was a bit confusion. o_O

Quote from: WarioMan98 on October 23, 2011, 02:59:40 PMWhoa! I completely forgot that! Yeah, so please, use mediafire.  :-[

Your welcome!  ;)
You should take a look at this. You don't have to follow it rigidly, but it would make your sheet look better: We like quality over quantity!  :D

And the arrangement itself... Not bad, considering it's your first one. You should remove those blank measure on page 2, they're useless!  :P
I just checked it a bit, and the left hand sound weird in some places. I'd want to compare it to the original, but now I have to go, tomorrow I'll take a closer look to it.  :)
How do you remove the measures?

Upload the file as I explained on my first post here and post the link. Then we will tell you if there's something you could improve.  :)
Alright, thanks bro. Here's the link:

Quote from: WarioMan98 on October 23, 2011, 01:23:26 PMCould you please be a bit more specific? I don't really know what you mean, sorry.  :P
Sorry, I meant the sheet music. Like, does it look like I did an ok job? What can I do to improve it?

Quote from: Shadoninja on October 23, 2011, 10:29:55 AMthose red notes indicate that the notes are on another layer, in this case layer 2. you would have to switch back to layer 1 and re-enter the notes and delete the notes in layer 2.
to change layers, click on the number 1 on the bottom right corner. alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut Alt+Shift+1/2/3/4.
Thanks, but how does it look so far?
