Well, it's really unoriginal, and not very good, but it's my first composition so I'm posting it.

Night Journey
MID
MUS

It's called Night Journey because I composed it while thinking of chapter four of The Will to Go On. It was almost called Karen and Hypno. ;D

The Strange Boy
MID
MUS

The Strange Boy for Ensemble
MUS

This one's written specifically for the Strange Boy. It's, well, strange. It, too, is very plain and not so good, but I had fun making it, so that's what matters.

Criticize or acclaim me, please! ;D

Request / [Wii] Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Multiple Songs
October 16, 2010, 12:18:45 PM
I was wondering if there's any chance that these few songs could be done--

Flipsville/Chompworks Galaxy

Wild Glide Galaxy

Freezy Flake Galaxy - Olimar12345

Okay, here's the deal--
Flipsville/Chompworks is the main one I want arranged. It's a really good song, and I think if arranged properly fun to play.

Wild Glide and Freezy Flake are both remixes of the main theme (Sky Station), but they are slightly different. I would even take them as duets if that would be necessary...

But someone please respond, even if it's just to tell me that you can't do them because they are too hard/you are too busy. :P

^comes out tomorrow, September 12, 2010...

As far as I can tell, I'm the only one around who plays these games... is there anyone else? Let me know if so.

To be quite frank (or whoever), I'm pretty psyched. I even changed my avatar and signature in honor. :3

I'd like to request some Pokemon HGSS songs.

Battle Hall
Battle Tower
PokeWalker Theme

Thanks! :)

Feedback / Two Misplaced Songs
September 01, 2010, 05:10:45 PM
Okay, I am probably making a huge deal out of this, but I really wanted to mention this.

Gusty Garden is under Super Mario Galaxy 2 when it should be under Super Mario Galaxy 1.

And Fallarbor Town is under Pokemon Gold and Silver when it should be under Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire.

Thanks.

(I'm not even going to bother with the Desert problem right now. ._.)

Super Mario Galaxy - "Credits" -- Completed and on site

Okay, I'm going to do something really annoying by posting credits songs - not only are they usually hard to arrange, but they're very long as well.

Super Mario Galaxy - Staff Credits

Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story - Staff Credits

:P Just requests, don't take them too seriously if it's a hassle...

I have a request (uh-oh). I request the songs

World S Map, if you feel like doing a gusty garden remix, or

World 1 Map, if you feel like doing a Good Egg Galaxy remix.

Story Telling / The Will to Go On
July 17, 2010, 07:13:41 AM
As (one of) you know, I'm taking a break from Random Madness (pauses as the reader cheers) because of my internet problem. I'm going to post a Pokémon story, but one that's very different from both Steps to Simplicity and Emergence.

Don't expect it to be well-done because unlike Random Madness, I don't have the whole plot in my head. Don't really have anything past where I'm at in chapter one. I will ask you to be patient, though. This is my version of the story. I hope you can understand that.

The prologue is rather short, I'm not planning on the story to be that way. xP

I'm telling the story of... well, you'll see.

The Will to Go On
Prologue

Will woke with a start. Glancing around frantically, he leapt out of bed and ran as fast as he could down the hall, stumbling as he went. He paused outside his parents’ bedroom, panting heavily. Without hesitating, he knocked on their door and threw it open. He ran inside and shook his heavily snoring father.

   “Dad!” he whimpered. “Daddy…wake up…”

   His father’s eyelids fluttered slightly.

“W-Will?” he said sleepily. He looked at his bedside clock. “It’s three o’clock in the morning,” he yawned. Will’s father turned on the light and sat up, rubbing his eyes.

“Daddy,” whispered six-year-old Will, “I had a nightmare again.”

   “Again?” said his father wearily.

   Will nodded shakily.

“All right,” said his father resignedly. “Tell me about it.”

   Will recounted the dream.

“…and then the phone rang… it was the hospital… and they said that Mommy had…Mommy had…died.”

   His father sat up quickly.

“WHAT?” his father shouted, causing poor Will to jump horribly. “They said… she had…? Are you ABSOLUTELY SURE that’s what they said, Will?”

Will simply stood there, his lip trembling.

“ARE YOU SURE THAT YOU DIDN’T MISHEAR?” roared his father, almost angrily.

Will began sobbing, softly at first, then giving off violent, shuddering wails, tears simply pouring down his face.

“Y-YES!” howled Will, then buried his face in his hands, still crying miserably. Will’s father felt a lump form in his throat. His eyes welled up. Within a moment they were both weeping, but Will’s father silently.

After a while, Will’s father lifted his son onto the bed and hugged him. He wiped his eyes before speaking.

“I apologize, Will,” said his father gently. “I know it’s – it’s not your fault.”

Will hiccupped and gradually stopped bawling.

“I’m sorry, Daddy,” whispered Will miserably.

“Don’t be,” insisted his father comfortingly. “It’s really not your fault.”

His son flashed a brief, weak, watery smile.

They sat there side by side for some time, Will’s father looking at the ceiling, Will himself huddled up, hugging his knees.

Just as the clock struck seven-thirty, the telephone rang.

Tearing up again, Will’s father took a deep breath and picked up the phone.

Okay, I know most people are very busy... but I'm still going to request a few songs.
Don't feel obligated to do them. :D

From Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time

Vim Factory - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OEK2k3Wfcs

Thwomp Volcano Trail - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfOyq0TJljA&feature=related

Toad Town - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLMx3n_2nlQ&feature=related

I love these three songs... I'm replaying this game at the moment because I finally finished Superstar Saga (in a manner of speaking). This game is really dark. <3

And Toad Town reminds me of Danny Elfman, as one of the YouTube comments pointed out. ;P

I'm posting the first chapter of a story that, while I'm far more proud of it, probably isn't as good as "Coulrophobia". Which I didn't think was that great, either.

It really has nothing to do with Nintendo, other than a reference in chapter five or six.

Note that I spaced out the paragraphs in my pasted version. If you don't like that, please tell me and I won't anymore.

Please comment and criticize as you see fit. ;)

Without further ado...

Random Madness: A Madventure by SlowPokemon

Chapter One
We Meet Mad and the Ghosts

Once there was a man named...well, it doesn’t really matter what his name was, because everyone called him Mad. Not as in crazy; they all thought that was his name. Mad Scientist, to be precise. It wasn’t his name, of course, but, as aforementioned, that does not really matter.

He always wore a yellow lab coat over a black shirt. His round head had two long purple stalks of hair that stood straight up and several thin gray hairs. One hair was longer than the rest, because by the time he would get to that hair during his self-haircut, he’d normally think of something more important he could be doing.

Mad lived by himself in a house in the heart of Doodle City, in a middle-class neighborhood with few neighbors; he knew not many of their names.

On the day this story starts, he was working out a drink that would make one grow taller (Mad was fairly short for his age of twenty-six). He added the final ingredient and cautiously took a sip. After a moment, bright green sideburns popped into existence on the sides of his head.

â€œIt gave me sideburns?” he asked incredulously of no one in particular. Standing there for a moment, he realized that no one was going to answer him. He sighed, tore out the sideburns, and threw them in the trash. He sadly walked out of the room.

A moment later, the trash can began rattling violently. The top shot off and three beings zoomed out of it. They were long and thin with huge, round heads (like balloons), and they hovered a bit off the ground. Two of the ghosts â€" that’s what they were, ghosts â€" were bright green. The third ghost had fangs and a forked tongue sticking out of his mouth, and he was a dank gray. He looked more like a snake than anything.

This third ghost glanced slyly at his siblings and, when he knew they weren’t looking, darted away through the wall and out of sight.

â€œHa!” shouted one of the Ghosts. His sister picked a purple banana peel off of her head and put it back into the trash can. She glared at him.

â€œHa?” she asked icily. “What do you mean, ‘ha’?”

â€œUmm…” the Boy Ghost said, faltering. “…Just…well…oh, lighten up, would you? We’re in a completely different dimension. Some defenseless person probably summoned us accidentally again. I hope Blot doesn’t mess things up this time…”

â€œWhere is Blot?” said Girl Ghost sharply, but before he could answer, Mad walked back in the room. The Ghosts froze.

â€œUmm…who are you?” asked Mad interestedly.

The Ghosts looked at each other and then made their faces all creepy.

â€œWe’re the ghosts of your sideburns…” the said eerily.

He stared at them for a second.

   â€œThat’s interesting.”

Mad walked to the other end of the room and sat down at a table, taking notes furiously in a small pad. He got up suddenly and ran to another room, where several strange machines were buzzing and whirring loudly. The Ghosts followed Mad. He advanced to a shoe, in which was a neon orange-colored liquid. He ripped out the page of notes he had just taken, crumpled it up, and threw it in the shoe. The liquid turned a dark shade of gray. The gray disappeared, to be replaced with bright green.

â€œAlso interesting…” murmured Mad to himself.

   â€œUh, aren’t you…freaked out?” said Boy Ghost.

Mad looked up as if he had forgotten they were there.

â€œUmm, no. Should I be?” he asked distractedly as he dashed back into the first room, sifted through the trash, and pulled out the purple banana peel that had been on Girl Ghost.

â€œI don’t know. Not necessarily,” said Girl Ghost, frowning as Mad put the banana peel into a pair of tweezers and set it gingerly on a metal countertop. He took several steps back and added a small drop of Mrs. Butterworth’s Maple Syrup to the banana peel. The banana peel exploded, violently knocking over what appeared to be a large bookshelf next to it.

Girl Ghost straightened the bookshelf up again and picked up a battered copy of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis that had fallen to the floor. She opened it to a random place in the book, but quickly slammed the covers together again when she heard a deafening roar erupt from the pages.

â€œSpontaneous combustion…” muttered Mad, brushing soot absentmindedly from his gaudy, yellow lab coat. “Hmm…I wonder if I’d get the same result with sugar free…” He suddenly turned and looked sharply at the Ghosts. “Why are you here?”

â€œUh, we were going to haunt you,” explained Boy Ghost. “But, umm…it looks like you’re pretty bad off on your own…”

â€œOkay, this is just a random hunch,” Mad began, “but did you two come from another dimension?”

â€œWell, yes!” said Girl Ghost, startled. “We were summoned here from the signals that were sent out by…”

â€œYeah, yeah, didn’t ask for your life story,” said Mad, rolling his eyes. “Well, you two will have to stay here, at least for a while. This could prove a theory I’ve been working on for some time… By the way, out of curiosity… Who was with you?”

   â€œUmm, ahh…” said Boy Ghost.

   Mad nodded, no longer interested.

â€œYour rooms are upstairs,” said Mad. “One on the left, one on the right. Mine’s straight ahead.”

   Boy Ghost smiled widely.

â€œGirl Ghost,” he said enthusiastically, “do you realize what this means?”

   â€œUmm… we’re staying with a lunatic?”

â€œNo. Well… yeah, I guess. But I was looking for this: WE HAVE A PLACE TO STAY!”

   It dawned on her.

   â€œOHMIGOSH, WE DO!” she squealed.

They zoomed around the kitchen, knocking pots and pans off the wall and spoons from drawers. They banged the silverware on the upholstery, the pots and pans they had knocked over, Mad’s head, and anything else they could find around the house.

Needless to say, by nine o’ clock, Mad was slightly regretting the decision he had made earlier.

â€œEr â€" Ghosts?” he called to them.

They faithfully came in front of him.

â€œWell…I don’t know how to say this,” Mad began.

   â€œI do,” said Girl Ghost.

â€œYou do?” said Mad, caught off guard.

â€œYeah,” said Girl Ghost, shrugging. “I can say ‘this’. This. See?”

â€œThat’s not what I…” Mad said angrily.

â€œYou can’t say ‘this’?” said Boy Ghost, feeling bad. “Look, it’s the ‘t-h’ sound. Th-, th-, th-…”

   â€œI can…” said Mad fruitlessly.

â€œâ€¦-is. â€"is. â€"is. Now you try. Put them together. Th-, -is. Th-, -is. This.”

â€œI’m trying to say go away!” shouted Mad in frustration.

â€œBoy Ghost, I think we should!” gasped Girl Ghost.

   â€œFinally, some sense,” grumped Mad.

â€œWouldn’t that be fun?” asked Girl Ghost. “To go on vacation?”

   Mad moaned behind his hands.

â€œWe could go to Disney World!” said Boy Ghost happily. “Visit our cousins in the Haunted Mansion!”

â€œNo, family trips are boring…” frowned Girl Ghost. “We could go to the Bahamas again. That was beautiful!”

â€œYes, she was…” said Boy Ghost dreamily.

   â€œWhat?”

   â€œNothing.”

â€œWe could go anywhere!” cried Girl Ghost. “Paris!”

   â€œTokyo!” laughed Boy Ghost.

â€œOr Key West!” said Girl Ghost wildly.

â€œOr Wyoming!” said Boy Ghost, shouting.

Girl Ghost stared at him incredulously.

   â€œWyoming?”

â€œI don’t know,” he said sheepishly. “It was just an idea… What do you think, Mad?”

But Mad was gone. He had darted into the kitchen and grabbed a kitchen knife. It never got to his chest. Girl Ghost yanked it from his grip.

â€œWhoa, he has more mental problems than we thought…” muttered Boy Ghost.

â€œYeah,” agreed Girl Ghost. “We should look after him PERMANENTLY…”

   Mad blacked out.

Okay, I'm voting for Psychic. Here's the poll I mentioned in the 5th gen topic.
It really has no importance, but I'm posting it anyway because I'm kind of interested to know.

Story Telling / My Less-Than-Amazing Story
June 09, 2010, 06:54:26 AM
Okay, I'm taking Universe-x's advice and posting a story I wrote in March for a contest. It went on to win for all people in my grade in the school, then the county, then was sent to state and looks like it will not be chosen as I have not been informed. It's not going to be added to in any way... I don't see how it can...

I'm doing this against my better judgment, because it really sucks, so please don't criticize me too badly.

Oh, and note two things - the paragraphs have spaces between them, so I can distinguish (it probably wouldn't matter to y'all) and none of this is true.  ;)

Here it is...

Coulrophobia

As far as I was concerned, clowns were nothing to be afraid of. Try telling that to my brother. He’s the biggest coulrophobic – clown fearer – in the world. When he was seven, my parents tried to cure him of this “highly irrational” fear by taking him to the circus.
Needless to say, it didn’t go very well.
As soon as my brother got there, he was excited as he indulged in cotton candy, popcorn, and even corn dogs. We sat down in our spots (according to our tickets) and suddenly he glanced up. The ear-to-ear grin was gone. A giant banner was hanging from the gigantic ceiling. On it, a clown’s face was depicted in many bright and gaudy colors.
Next to the clown’s grinning face were the words: “LIVE AND IN PERSON – PRAHS NIKEVS, WORLD’S FUNNIEST CLOWN!”
My brother began to sob, screaming, “No, no, no! No clowns!”
“What are you so afraid of?” I asked him exasperatedly.
In response to my question, he screamed even more loudly.
“Come on,” I said, picking him up and walking out of our seats.
“Where are you going?” said my father suspiciously.
“I’m taking him to the bathroom to calm him down,” I said innocently.
“Whatever,” my father said, but I could tell he was not impressed.
As my brother heaved and cried a bit more, he clung to my back. He was so busy wailing that he didn’t see me bypass the restrooms and, glancing around, enter the EMPLOYEES ONLY door.
I ducked around men in top hats and bearded women, fervently hoping no one would notice me and realize I wasn’t supposed to be here.
I nonchalantly headed into a hallway and found what I was looking for: a large purple door with a star on it. There was a notice on the door that proclaimed, “Do not disturb – Mr. Nikevs is preparing!”
“Where are we?” said my brother uncertainly. He had stopped bawling for fear of where I was going.
I didn’t answer him, but knocked on the door twice.
“Where are we?” my brother repeated nervously. “I want mom and dad…”
The door flung open.
“NO, NO, NO!” my brother screamed. “NO CLOWNS!”
Standing in the doorway was a seven-foot clown. His shoes were twice the necessary length (or so I hoped) and his bright red rubber nose shone in the light. He was wearing leather gloves and a small hat with a flower stuck lopsidedly into it. His bright lips were complementing his white-painted face.
How was it possible to be afraid of something that silly? I wondered.
“May I help you?” said Prahs Nikevs.
“Yes, Mr. Nikevs,” I said. “We…”
“Call me Prahs,” he insisted. I stared at him.
“Okay,” I said, frowning. “Well, Prahs…my brother here is terrified of clowns. I wanted him to meet one so he could see that they’re not frightening.”
We both looked at my brother, who had gone silent and was whimpering slightly.
“Hello, there,” said Mr. Nikevs happily.
He stuck a gloved hand out.
After hesitation, my brother tentatively shook it.
“H-hi…” he whispered.
“Guys want to come in?” Mr. Nikevs offered. “I could get you some free souvenirs…”
“Sure!” I accepted. We walked in and Mr. Nikevs left to get souvenirs. We sat down on a couch.
“Brother…” whispered my sibling. “…I don’t like him…”
“What do you mean?” I asked disinterestedly.
“His hands,” my brother began, but got a terrified look as the clown entered the room.
“Sorry, guys,” he said, “I’m out of the free stuff... Buddy?” he addressed my brother. “Are you still afraid of clowns?”
 My brother nodded shakily.
“Sorry,” I said apologetically, rolling my eyes. “I know it’s a stupid fear…”
“Oh, not that stupid,” said Mr. Nikevs oddly.
“What do you mean?” I asked, puzzled.
“Oh, some people would call it quite…rational,” he said, grinning. He got up and locked the door.
“Um,” I said uneasily, “we should get back to our parents…they’ll be…wondering…”
My voice faltered as I watched Mr. Nikevs advance on us, still grinning in that strange way.
“Have you ever wondered…” he asked gleefully, “…why clowns…wear…gloves?”
I was quickly becoming coulrophobic.
“No,” I said, panicking internally.
I looked on with horror as the giddy Mr. Nikevs began to remove his gloves. Suddenly he yanked them off all at once and I screamed for my life.
His hand had no fingers. In place of them were ten razor-sharp, five-inch-long KNIVES. The clown laughed maniacally.
“Sometimes it’s not so WEIRD to fear clowns, is it!?” the lunatic giggled, shrieking. “Not so irrational, huh!” he screamed.
My brother was calm. Obviously upset, but calm.
“I told you,” he whispered simply. “I warned you all…”
The clown, still laughing madly, was advancing.
“Told you,” my brother whispered one last time, and then he was upon us.

“Dear, the boys aren’t back yet,” said a woman in the audience of the circus.
“…Give ‘em a couple a minutes,” suggested her husband.
“Strange…” murmured the woman, frowning. “The star of the show’s name is Prahs Nikevs. That could be an anagram for…sharp knives.”
“How odd…” mused her husband. “Is it part of his act?”
“We’ll find out,” the woman said, and continued to wait for two boys who would never come.

Okay, you probably all knew this already, but they've announced a new Pokemon Ranger game. Any idea when it's coming out?

Yes, yes, I know... ANOTHER new topic.  :P

"Professor Layton's Theme" - Completed and on site
"About Town" - Completed by Bloop and Bubbles

Okay, this may be kinda extreme because I just posted a request for "Bowser Jr.'s Fiery Flotilla", but I really have to post this. Can anyone arrange an intermediate version of "Professor Layton's Theme" and St. Mystere" from "Professor Layton and the Curious Village"?

Here's the first one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3ak_il8E8E&feature=related
Really cool song that I could listen to over and over.

Here's a piano performance of that one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUqg-18jQCw&feature=related

And here's the strange, mechanical, mysterious, and maybe even a little scary (to me :P), though admittedly repetitive song, "St. Mystere": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYOEx5DpVlY

Thanks!

*Warning to arrangers: do not listen to "St. Mystere" for too long or it will be stuck in your head for (in an educated guess) approximately 3,000 years. Thank you for your safety concern.
