Forum Games / Famous quote guessing
August 06, 2009, 12:05:52 AM
This morning I got an idea for a new game: guessing famous game quotes.
One person posts a quote that he thinks another person knows.
People can guess and have to tell:
1) Which game it is (a franchise is enough)
2) Who said it
If someone knows the answer and posts it, he can then post a new quote. If this isn't clear enough, I'll be happy to explain it further and I hope you like.

Let's start!
A very easy one:

QuoteOh, *name* the fairy...
Listen to my words, the words of the *name 2*...
Dost thou sense it?
The climate of evil descending upon this realm...

Gaming / Best Zelda game ever
July 23, 2009, 11:41:08 PM
Sorry if it becomes a little cliché, but I just wanted to know what zelda game you like best. If there's already a discussion (dead or alive) 'bout this, please lemme know (in a subtle way, Gamer)

Feedback / Just an idea
July 23, 2009, 05:49:23 AM
I had an idea. Maybe you find this unnecessary, stupid or something like that, but it might be an idea. We've encountered a lot that two people didn't know they were arranging the same song, so that you ended up with two versions or that songs were requested, which were already done or being done. So I thought of this: if everyone posts just one post, where he lists the arrangements he has done and what arrangements he is working on. That way, we can prevent this kind of things. What do ya think?

Music / Something not very Nintendo
June 04, 2009, 07:09:51 AM
A request which isn't from Nintendo, but since there are good musicians/arrangers here, I wanted to ask a favor.
A song from Cirque du Soleil, La Nouba. Called Queens and very sweet (but odd, you'll hear what I mean).
This one.

I'd like to have help with the two brass instruments in the beginning, the repetitive Galaxy EP's from 0:52 (which goes on for 2,5 minute :o), the repetitive synthesizer motive from 3:35, the motive on 3:55 and the things on 4:10.

Please help me :)

Just say one of the members and tell why you respect him, there seems to be a lot of rows goin' on.
E.g. I respect Cobraroll, because he's kind, he knows a lot (about Pokémon as well) and he writes great stories.

Home-Made Compositions / GreekGeek's Compositions
April 03, 2009, 12:21:05 PM
Hi you guys,

this is my first Pokémon composition. I made it a couple of years ago when I wanted to create an own Pokémon game. Quite narcistic that I wanted to be the 4th of the Elite 4 (Mark, expertized in Psychic Legendaries). I hope you like it, it's written in the style of Pokémon, with lots of dim chords and so on.

Please give feedback.

Update
Another song I composed today, it's for the Pokémon game I wanted to make. It's the music of the starter town, hope you like it

Off-Topic / The Love Topic
March 30, 2009, 03:03:54 AM
My god I'm sorry, I just was in a hug mood and I'm bored at school so I made this up. Post what you love/like, whether it's a friend, your boy-/girlfriend, your mom (ahum), your pet, your keyboard or your sandwich with chocolate sprinkles (which is my custom every morning).

At the moment I love my A for my test Greek :D

Help! / The Under - Pokémon Colosseum
January 27, 2009, 03:06:10 AM
Hi guys,
I'm arranging the song "The Under" from Pokémon Colosseum (and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness if I'm not mistaken), but it's driving me nuts. There's a little part in the middle where the piano seems to jump around some keys and it's a wonder that it sounds good. Could somebody please help me with this two measures. My arrangement so far can be found at my arrangements page: http://ninsheetmusic.drshnaps.com/smf/index.php?topic=1208.0 .

Thanks a lot :)

Help! / Software
August 29, 2008, 04:13:26 AM
I understand it's not the perfect forum to ask this because this forum is a Nintendo sheet music forum and not a music software forum, but I guess a lot of you have got lots of experience with music software so I was wondering.
We use Finale (Notepad) because it's easy (I totally agree), easy to download and free (well just Notepad of course). However it seems to lack a bit of software you can find in programs like Cubase SX, Cakewalk etc., which are therefore of course much more expensive. Could somebody please give me some advice which software is the best for my purpose (which means making soundtracks of songs with a lot of different instruments I'm gonna record f.e. a violin, acoustic guitar, piano, trumpet, voice, drums etc.). Can I best buy some good microphones and one of these expensive programs (and which of them is best according to you) or should I just keep things simple and trust on Finale?

Thanks a lot! :D

Help! / Copying music
August 21, 2008, 09:28:44 AM
Hi there,

I've got a problem with Finale Notepad. Everytime I copy a couple of measures, the layout seem to change. Some huge space arises between the two lines or the notes in a measure come to close to eachother. So does somebody know how to change the "layout" of measures/lines in Finale notepad?

Thanks a lot

Hi everybody,

I'm new here so if I'm doing something wrong, please tell me. I've been using this site for a long time and I love it! However I'd like to have the sheet music of the boss battle with Gohma or Kalle Demos, they just rock!

thanks a lot!
