Thank you so much for your help, Olimar, that looks and sounds fantastic. ^_^ No, I cannot open it with finale, but I can see the PDF. Please do go ahead and replace these in the OP.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I don't think I'm quite there yet, but we've definitely made progress. Apologies if I misunderstood anything, my music theory is rusty at best:

Formatting:
- Personally, I would lower all of the systems and move the composer/arranger info down a little (if you're able to) Does this look ok? I agree it was crowded before.
- Maybe you should specify that it plays during the last minute remaining I added a subtitle under the title and above the game name. (Alternatively, that could make a cute tempo mark.)
- You should generally show beat 3 in 4/4 instead of having dotted quarter notes that go past it (also in m15 put the eighth note before the half note); Okay I gotcha, changed it. to add onto that, in spots like m11, the quarter note really sounds like an eighth note anyways You're right, I fixed this
- Add some slurs to the grace notes Okay, done. After messing around with the arrangement on an actual piano, I changed the grace notes to G-D-G; liked the sound of that better to represent the effect

Note stuff:
- You could add a lower B in m2 b4 Oh yeah, I can hear that now. Added
- m3/4 are thirds, not fifths. Ok, changed this And the C should be natural instead of sharp This goes away with it being thirds anyways
- Check the bassline again for incorrect notes/rhythms. I listened to the best of my ability but I'm really bad at hearing the base line. I changed m. 18-19 to F and G respectively, I definitely hear something different there. For example, m6 b3.5 (and others) should be an Eb, and it should be a quarter and eighth note instead of a single dotted quarter note; Okay, I changed this Also, consider lowering it down an octave for everything but the power chords (or even including those) Yeah, that Eb sounds better down an octave for sure.
- There are some notes that would benefit from adding staccatos (like m23 beat 1 in LH) I listened again and added staccatos and slurs where I heard them
- Put the guitar part from m20-21 in the RH and write out the bass part for the LH I uh... I tried and I'm sorry for what came out. Similarly edited m. 16-17. I tried listening to remixes and such as well and I can hear an F... but it just sounds wrong on piano? idk? If anyone could help with this I'd really appreciate it!!
- Raise m22-23 up an octave (LH), or just add an octave above it altogether since both the guitar and bass are playing; Did the latter Also the chord is wrong (it should be F-A-C and maybe another F on top) Okay, I think
- I think you can just put a 6/4 measure instead of 2/4 and 4/4; also, both the RH and LH parts have errors in that section Alright – could you elaborate on errors? I spent honestly so long on that section and in the end didn't think I quite got it
- It makes much more sense to put a rit. on beat 3 of the penultimate measure and have the last note on beat 1 instead of beat 1.25 I tried, looked weird, sounded weird. I replaced with a triplet – does that make sense...?

As a side note, I updated the YouTube link with better audio.

Hey, thanks LeviR.star for the formatting feedback. Honestly I figured I'd just wait for some critique on the arrangement before tackling the formatting errors and I must have totally forgotten. Then playing Splatoon 2 this weekend I had a "huh, I totally arranged this for piano, didn't I...?" moment. Anyways, here is submission attempt #2!

Hey so, does anyone have any feedback they could give me? Sorry for the bump but I feared it would be forgotten otherwise. ^^;

Are upcoming games allowed? Apologies if not. It's been a while since I've arranged and I think a few parts may need cleaning up (could not for the life of me hear bars 24-25). Thanks!

Huh, well that's unfortunate. It doesn't look much different from the one currently on the site anyways, but at least they tried? Hopefully someone can clean it up. I would if I had the time and patience, but alas..  ::)

I wanted to learn "To Zanarkand" (Final Fantasy X), so I went to grab it from the site and noticed it was in 6/4... for some reason? It definitely has a 3/4 feel to it. It's one of the most iconic solo piano video game pieces I can think of, if not the most iconic, so I figured I should bring it to your attention. :P I tried to fix it myself but all I could manage was to basically split the bars in half lol.

I'm getting a 404 error on that dropbox file.

Alrighty:

Quote from: Olimar12345 on December 20, 2014, 05:36:45 PM-I think the figures in measures 2 & 4 (RH) would look nicer if they were notated the way you did it in measure 6 (everything in one layer). Not to mention there are duplicate notes in the pick-ups in layer 2.

Well... I tried to change it, but I think it looks messier. >_> I could just have it in two layers and hide the rests? Unless this wasn't what you had in mind?

Quote from: Olimar12345 on December 20, 2014, 05:36:45 PM-Add a D below the Bb in the RH in measures 1, 3, and 5 (octave).

Sounds fine in measure 1, but it clashes with that Eb chord in the LH in measure 3. In measure 5 I'm assuming you mean below the D?

Quote from: Olimar12345 on December 20, 2014, 05:36:45 PM-The eighth notes in the LH in measure 2 should be F (below the staff) up to G then back to F. Make this exact change again in measure 4, but put it up an octave (in the staff).

I really struggled with these notes, so thank you. >_> Sounds weird in measure 4 because of the F# in the RH though.

Quote from: Olimar12345 on December 20, 2014, 05:36:45 PMaaand I think that's everything! If you just want to change the MUS file while we're going over it, that's cool. You can add all three files once we get it done. No need to be constantly uploading files we aren't using d:

Alright, thank you so much. ^__^

Quote from: Olimar12345 on December 20, 2014, 05:40:34 PMAnd thanks again for the YouTube link! It makes it faster for me, plus we're both on the same page as to which arrangement you're doing! :D

Especially helpful in cases like this, where the title might not be 100% accurate. ^^;

Quote from: Deku Trombonist on December 20, 2014, 06:14:06 PMThere's a combination accent+tenuto articulation which should take care of the clashing for you automatically.

Didn't notice that! I changed all of the accent + tenuto notes to have this marking instead.

Quote from: Olimar12345 on December 20, 2014, 06:26:32 PM^ I don't think it's an option for lower finale users, like notepad.

Idk about Notepad, but I'm using PrintMusic 2010 and it was there. ;)

Yeah, that's the title I had originally but I was trying to keep it in line with the other sheets in the pokemon section which are titled in that format ("Girl Trainer Confrontation", "Pokémaniac Encounter"). Changed it back, but just an FYI I guess?

Is the title OK now? I had to fiddle with the staves so that the composer could be on one line without squishing everything else to the top of the page, but as you said there was lots of room so hopefully that's alright.

Interesting. When I originally arranged this I based it off of the version from GSC (hence the file names... actually I just realized I forgot to change that, does it matter?), and the timbre sounds a lot cleaner. They're identical otherwise. edit: actually I think the one in yellow might be slightly faster. Gonna see if I need to fix my tempo marking h/o. edit 2: nah nevermind they're both very slightly above 150 from what I can tell but closer to 150 than 151 so I'm just gonna leave it...

Anyways, I've updated the sheets with the requested changes. Thanks! Anything else?

Do you mean so it looks like "Nintendo / GameFreak © 1996"?

The original:

It was also in G/S/C, but yellow came first... not much to this one. ^^

edit: thanks, I got it ^^

Pokefan Encounter (Pokemon ORAS)
*Midi*
*Original*

This is a totally new soundtrack as far as I know (AKA not from the original R/S/E). Super catchy. Translated well to solo piano. Does anybody know who the composer is? I can't find the information online yet and I haven't seen the game credits because I'm not even halfway through yet.

My PDF thing is being weird so I don't have a PDF version for the time being.
