Thanks for the help, guys! I made a few dynamic and articulation adjustments for the first half of the song. Try downloading it again and let me know if I'm going in the right direction. Of course, I'll be continuing to improve the song (articulation, note lengths, grace notes, chords), so let me know if there's anything you don't like or don't agree with. I don't think there's much else to do with the "note soup"- I changed that part of the song that Deku was referring to to make it much more simple to play and sound more like the real song instead of stressing about the barely audible notes.  ;)

Hey, I made an arrangement for the New Donk City theme, I'm gonna put my pdf and midi files here for anyone to look at and give me suggestions. Other than obvious formatting things, what more should I do to improve this piece? Thanks for any suggestions, they're much appreciated.

The arrangement came partly from two sources:

http://forum.ninsheetmusic.org/index.php?topic=9941.0

Of course, I redid a lot of it, so these only really helped me get some of the notes/chords so I didn't have to figure out every single one of them.
Also a note: all the grace notes I have written in the song are meant to be played like a sixteenth note before the note written. The midi kind of just jams them together and makes the second note late, but whatever.

I'm getting the tempo to be about 118, your arrangement lags a few clicks behind the actual song, also, you're missing a large section of the song (1:01-1:28 in the video I attached) also, I'd recommend using a repeat sign at the end to where the song loops. And another thing, I might recommend making the measures shorter (half note=118 instead of quarter note=118) so that it isn't a jumble of sixteenth notes- that would be hard to read for a piano player trying to play this. If you were to do that, it would look something like this:

Also, there are some grace notes you have written as 32nd notes... change those to grace notes, it's easier to read and would reduce the jumble. Another thing, the composer is "Shiho Fujii, Koji Kondo, and Naoto Kubo" not "Nintendo". Nintendo would be the publisher. Finally, your midi file doesn't match the pdf you have- you have extra chords in the midi file that aren't written in the arrangement, also, a lot of those chords are wrong (sorry) and I would recommend rewriting that whole section to more closely follow the chords in the song.

Before we get started, we have a few rules.
1. Your sheet must look like this, according to the guidelines therin.
2. Your PDF must be made from your .mus file. There are no exceptions to this rule, nor will there ever be.
3. If you need help with formatting your sheet because Finale notepad doesn't have all the features, ask here
Resolved above ^^
My files are ready for criticism!
Also, *bump*

Hey, I figured out how to do everything in Finale except 2 things. One: I need to get rid of the Pno. abbreviation at the start of each line, and two, I need to add measure numbers at the start of each line. I've looked up how to do it, but it doesn't seem my version of Finale (2012) has the correct options. Also, I need to move the arpeggio marks on some of the songs since they block the accidentals.

I originally made this song "impossible" to play, and I've changed it. There are still some parts that don't sound quite right, like the RH around the middle of the song (staccato notes) sound a little out-of-place.
