With the new update to SK I played through some of the older games again and this one really stood out to me as an amazing piece.  The part at 1:01 really blew me away.  That would sound GREAT on piano. If any of you could arrange this piece, I would appreciate it SO much.  Since SK can have complicated themes a duet would be totally fine too.

Seriously thanks sooo insanely much if you arrange this.  I'd play it to death.

So Showdown came out yesterday and it rocks.  This music is amazing and if anyone with better ear skills than I would want to arrange it for piano I would seriously appreciate it.  I would definitely play this if there was sheet music out there, but alas there is none.  (I mean the game is only a day old so makes sense) I know that SK music can usually be hard to arrange partially due to its many voices, if you want to arrange a duet for it instead/as well, that would be totally fine too.  I have a fellow pianist IRL who loves the SK OST too.

Thanks so much if you arrange this, it would mean so much.  The amount of quality SK sheet music out there is criminally low and NSM has the best quality sheets of the series.  Thanks again!!!

[Super Mario 3D World (2013, Wii U)]

Super Mario 3D World (2013, Wii U)
With this one.coming on the heels of the Super Mario Galaxy series of games, I was initially somewhat disappointed with it.  But, as time has passed, I've realized it's actually pretty solid and has a ton of content.  It makes for a solid 3D platformer.

No Man's Sky (2016, multiple systems)
This game is most famous for having one of the most disappointing launches of the decade back in 2016.  The game felt empty, boring, and devoid of features.  However, in the over 3 years since release, the dev team at Hello Games has worked tirelessly to improve this game.  I, and many members of the NMS community, feel that this game has finally reached (and greatly passed)  the original vision of a grand open world, infinitely generated space adventure.  If you're one of the many people who were disappointed by this game's launch in 2016, and haven't picked it up in a while, check it out again.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove (2014, Multiple systems)
Not much to say about this one.  With the final update coming next month, this will be 5 games for the price of one.  My favorite 2D platformer of the decade, probably all time.

Portal 2 (2011, Multiple systems)
This game is amazing.  I love the mind-bending puzzles.
The best part, easily, though, is the multiplayer co-op mode.  The utilization of 2 players is amazing. It will build\destroy friendships.  Not to mention the online level builder has tons of quality levels for multi\single player play to extend the experience.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 (2010, Wii)
The follow up to the epic Super Mario Galaxy.  While I prefer the original slightly more, this one's definitely a worthy sequel.  Also, the music is amazing.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild (2017, Wii U, Switch)
This game mastered the open world genre. It's amazing. There are so many items and areas in this game.  2 and a half years after it came out, I'm still finding Korok seeds and enemy camps whenever I hop on.

Minecraft (2011, Multiple platforms (literally anything))
It's Minecraft.  This is the closest we've come to the perfect video game.  There's so much cont ent and potential to this game, especially with the countless updates it's received over the years.  Nuff Said.

Nice to see the Wii U getting some love!  That console has some really great soundtracks.

The decade is coming to a close in just over a month, so I made this thread for members of the NSM community to list their top 10 (or 5, or 20, whatever number ya fancy) games released in the 2010s.  I'll put out my own list in a bit, but I'm posting this up now so if anyone else wants to chime in their favorites they can do so.

I took a listen to this one and it's on the site by the name of 'Epilogue'  from The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild.  Hope this helps!

I totally dig most of this site update, but just a bit of constructive criticism (a.k.a. a paragraph of me being picky):

I agree that a warmer background color like the old one would feel a bit more home-y and casual.
The new way sheets are displayed when going down takes up a lot more space when scrolling and a lot less sheets are displayed at once as well.  Maybe if we display them in thinner lines like before with a modern font and look? 
Maybe if we re-added a sidebar on the left for quicker access to series?  (The quick access does alleviate this a bit.)

But seriously, I think it's great that you guys revitalized this site overall (the most popular sidebar is really cool)

I picked the original Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Galaxy games, and Super Mario Odyssey.  Super Mario 64 also makes a lot of sense.

The first theme I played was (like many others) the Original SMB Overworld theme.  I read it from that beginner Super Mario sheet music book they have.  The first one I learned to play that I still have memorized to this day is Sebastian's arrangement of Egg Planet from Super Mario Galaxy.  (Unless they made a replacement for it since then.  That's what's on the site now, I don;t know if I still have the sheets around) What really got me into VGM was that Super Mario Galaxy CD they bundled with the wiis back around 2010-ish.  I listened to that a lot and I don't think I would have been as good a musician as I am now if it wasn't for VGM.

I almost thought the Main Theme was on this site at one point, I think I even printed out some sheet music... Maybe I got Jester's version.

This is a really great jazzy song.  I've found some covers and remixes online but no piano sheet music.  Good luck.

I'm including my favorite track in each game so if you want to hear what I think is the best from each game, you can check those out.
NES: The Legend Of Zelda.  The main theme in the game is amazing, especially for composing VG music at the time.  (Runner Up: Super Mario Bros. The Overworld theme is catchy to this day)

SNES: Super Mario World.  I love the Bowser's castle theme especially.  (Runner Up: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past. Dark World rocks.)

GBA: Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island. I couldn't fit the original on the SNES list. Haven't played that many GBA games.  This one has such a catchy joyful soundtrack, especially Athletic.

N64: Super Mario 64. Bob-Omb Battlefield is my favorite from this game. Awesome soundtrack all around. (Runner Up: Ocarina of Time. (Gerudo Valley is my favorite from this game, not the only great one though.))

Gamecube: Double Dash 'Circuit theme' is a classic (Runner Up: LoZ: Wind Waker. Love Dragon Roost Island)

Wii: Super Mario Galaxy/Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Tied) Amazing soundtrack for amazing games.  These 2 are tied for my all time favorite soundtracks. My favorites are Egg Planet, Gusty Garden, and Sky Station.

Wii U: Mario Kart 8. Such an amazing jazzed up track, full of retro remixes and new compositions.  My favorites are the F-Zero themes, Electrodrome,  and the Hyrule circuit tracks. (AMAZING!!) 
(Very Close Runner Up is a tie between DKC: Tropical Freeze and Yoshi's Woolly World. Both are my favorite games and soundtracks in their respective series. Snowmads theme, and the main Woolly World theme are my favorites here.)

Switch: LoZ: Breath of the wild, I loved this soundtrack. It has the main theme as my favorite. Every single one of the many tracks felt like well polished and magnificent compositions.  (Runner Up: Super Mario Odyssey. the Fossil Falls theme is amazing, as is the rest of the game.)

I haven't played to many on other platforms besides PC, so I'll have an 'other/multiple platforms' category.

Other: Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove.  I only found this game last year, and the soundtrack is amazing. I love all of them, but 1,000 Leagues Under, Strike The Earth, and Main Theme are my favorites. I HIGHLY recommend listening to this if you haven't yet.   (Runner Up: Minecraft. Such a peaceful soundtrack. Especially the ones in Alpha Album. Wet Hands is my favorite from this game.)
