Nintendo / Re: Wiiware release May 12!

The gameplay is nothing like CC it really is quite unique

though it does use the CC environments and races and monsters n such

but the gameplay itself is very fun

Nintendo / Wiiware release May 12!
May 13, 2008, 04:45:13 AM
Did anyone get anything for the Wiiware on it's release date yesterday?

I did I got FFCC: My Life as  King

It's quite addicting.

Nice Soundtrack too   :)

but did anyone get Defend your Castle or Lostwinds?

Or any other titles?

I am curious to see how good they are.

Submission:
[NES] - EarthBound Zero - "Pollyanna" - SirGiggles

Woo I actually finished something, and I think I did well.

A rather easy arrangement, but hopefully it will be accepted.

I posted this on 5/05 but no one noticed until I bumped today...

Although someone else's arrangement of this song was already accepted

Mine's a bit different

tell me what you think anyways

Also Finished:
[NES] - EarthBound Zero - "Humoresque of a Little Dog" - SirGiggles

ohh this was already done... my bad

oh well

Under Repair:
[GBA] - Mother 3 - "Porky's Theme" - SirGiggles (not far from being done)
[SNES] - EarthBound - "Winters" - SirGiggles

New Stuff In Progress:
(In the off chance you wanted to know)
Overworld Theme 2 - EarthBound Zero
Mother 3 Love Theme
Twinkle Elementary - EarthBound Zero
Unfounded Revenge - Mother 3
Fire! - Mother 3
Twist and Battle - Mother 3

I like to work on multiple things at once

It's just how I am

I will continue to fix Porky's Theme as this is my first difficult arrangement and I'm not the best at it, I realize it's impossible at parts

I'm a noob to music so Pumpy_Heart gave me some major help over AIM. (thanks)
The adjustments he told me to make are currently being added.

Enjoy and Please Criticize

I'll go ahead and answer some questions you guys might have.

Q: What is Mother 3?
A: The sequel to EarthBound (the game Ness stars in), it stars Lucas (from Brawl)

Q: Why is it called Mother 3?
A: That's its Japanese name, it's named after a song by John Lennon

Q: The numbers don't quite match up... (Mother 3 /EarthBound 2)
A: That's because the first game in the series never left Japan

Q: What is the first game in the series?
A: Mother 1 was released for the NES, it almost hit the U.S as EarthBound.

Q: Almost?
A: Yeah Nintendo completely finished localizing, translating, and had an advertizing campaign prepared for the game, but by the time they were done they decided that the U.S. would not be interested because we already had the SNES

Q: Where is the English version now?
A: In 1999 a prototype of the game showed up on Ebay, a team called Demiforce "borrowed" it for 400$ and dumped it into a ROM, and added Zero to the title so there would be no confusion over the SNES game. So the game is now known as EarthBound Zero.

Q: How do I know it's not a fan translation?
A: Many features were added to ease the experience up that weren't in the original Japanese version, but then Mother 1 + 2 was released for the GBA in Japan and it added these features to the Japanese game.

Q: So why has Mother 3 not left Japan?
A: No one knows... Reggie Fis-Aime is even quoted in a video interview as being "bombarded" by Mother fans.

Q: Will it be available anywhere else?
A: Not sure, it is rumored that all 3 games will be released for the DS. Though a fan translation is in the process http://mother3.fobby.net/ and they update alot

(Includes comments from one of the team members who localized the game, Phil Sandhop, he has localized many titles including Super Mario 64)

And one final question for the EarthBound fans

****************** POSSIBLE BRAWL SPOILERS ******************

Q: In Brawl that EarthBound boss is clearly Pokey Minch, why was he called Porky?
A: That's his name in Japan, though it may have been retconned.

Music / Re: Super Smash Bros Brawl The Lost Tracks

Alright so here's something that solves the case (sorta)

Like I said before the songs were listed on this disc

the guy got these songs via their original games or the soundtrack of that game

Like Beware the forest's mushrooms was part of the orchastrated Mario RPG CD that came out about the time the game was released

I doubt they're on this disc

but still quite fantastic

Google Chrono Symphonic

It's a project to make a soundtrack for a future Chrono Trigger movie

alot of em are just orchastrated versions of Chrono Trigger Songs, though a few mix some together and others throw in some Chrono Cross stuff

but overall fantastic

haha yeah good point

I did this in a hurry it was supposed to be a joke anyways
