I think so, as long as you replace your old poll with your new one (or make another thread).
I voted for Coke because I like it more than Pepsi, even though my alma mater won't sell any Coca-Cola products on campus.

It has a much cleaner interface, saved results, and we've had a heck of a lot of problems changing embedded polls in the past.

is not cleaner, is full of ads and is very slow, can save poll results in the OP, and oh whoops looks like that's screwed up
