Anyway, as some of you may know, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is one of my favorite video games of all time, being third on the list, and my second-favorite RPG. Although I didn't really see the magic of a remake, this could be interesting. And a lot of the enemy designs of the Mushroom Kingdom were a little... off. Anyway, opinions on this game? Bad idea? Great idea? Can't decide?
I just hope they don't ruin the soundtrack.
Hasn't been officially confirmed yet. But whatever "they" do to the soundtrack will be Yoko Shimomura's doing, so you shouldn't be so quick to hate it if it's different.
Considering how faithful Fire Emblem Echoes is to its source material, this could be pretty dang good.

Calm down there, SlowPokemon. I meant I don't want "re-imagined" soundtracks that aren't faithful to the original, i.e. different, new music replacing the original songs.

1. This is going to sound abrasive but never ever tell someone to calm down. It's one of the most condescending and invalidating things you can say to anyone.
2. That wasn't really what your post sounded like (and it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't even use the original tunes lol)
I think a remake would be cool. I've had this game for a while for GBA, and even downloaded it on VC for Wii U.
I only ever played it once on an emulator... with cheats on...
It would be nice to play it normally.
I found superstar saga in some house we rented during a vacation right before we left. I played it on my gameboy and it took forever to beat. It was actually the first Mario game I've ever played. Pretty great game, honestly.
Full disclosure: I love the M&L series...in concept. I can't say I love the series for real, because the only game I've played is Superstar Saga. Which means I'm hyped for this to come out.

Coming from someone who has played the entire series, it is a great series. It's pretty much Paper Mario, but with more jokes. It purposefully makes fun of itself, in a good way. For some reason, Nintendo's been making the more recent Paper Mario's more like this series, which just isn't right for Paper Mario. Don't get me wrong, I like the newer Paper Mario games, but they're just not true to the series.

The Dream Team / Paper Jam visuals and remastered soundtrack are really surprising and welcome. Wow this is a good year for games.

How do I make images smaller?
The graphic update wasn't too much of a difference, but I guess that's a good thing since the original's pixel art look was so good. Hope the minions part has enough to it, otherwise it just kinda looks like a small reskin of the original right now.
I really hope hoohoo village gets a good remaster though <3

Superstar Saga being one of my favorite games of all time, I am SO EXCITED for this game to come out. I'm really happy with mostly everything in the trailers so far, it looks like they're being pretty faithful to the original game. And Bowser's Minions mode looks like it'll be sufficiently entertaining as well.
100%ed Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, and unlocked the entire sound test. We have official titles! The first half of the soundtrack is the original GBA version (unlocked via various hidden blocks across the Beanbean Kingdom), followed by the five Bowser's Minions tracks, finally concluding with the updated music that actually plays in the game. Disappointingly, the only major track I can think of that's missing is the rather brilliant remix of E. Gadd's theme that plays when you speak with him in the café, but that's maybe because the 3DS version simply uses the version of E. Gadd's theme that appears in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (I suspected as much when I heard it, and it was confirmed when Chad York, the arranger, got a "special thanks" in the credits). Let me know if you have any questions about which names go with which tracks.

Note: Track 75 is a remix of "Challenging Actions!" from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, while Track 76 is a remix of "Do It Now!" from Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. These tracks are used in place of "To Challenge!" and "It's My Turn," presumably to use original Shimomura tracks since the former two are remixes of the Super Mario World theme and the Invincibility theme from Super Mario 64.
