Title: Theme(s) of The Day
Post by: LeviR.star on February 03, 2017, 02:16:26 PM
You ever just wake up with a random song playing in your head? Does it switch to a different song automatically, without you thinking about the game that it came from? Or does it switch depending on your mood?

I thought that even thought we have a similar topic (http://forum.ninsheetmusic.org/index.php?topic=5340.0) on here already, this one should be exclusive to songs that you're hearing right now, without any electronic equipment involved.

Today I was feeling Mega Man GB-ish. Here they are, in order of playing in my head:

My Themes of the Day Today

[GB] Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge - "Password" (Mega Man 7-Styled Remix by PrincessLunaZelda2020)

[GB] Mega Man II - "Air Man"

[GB] Mega Man V - "Neptune" (Mega Man 7-Styled Remix by PrincessLunaZelda2020)

[GB] Mega Man IV - "Big Boss"

Please feel free to post your own; seriously, I think it would be cool to see this topic expand for years to come. :D

For the last week or so dreamyard from pokemon b/w has been in my head a lot for no reason. I hadn't thought about it or listened to it recently. I feel like my brain reached out for memories of music that correlates to my mood and played it for me.

Also how do you get the youtube video to display like that?

I've had Island in Violet from Paper Mario: Color Splash stuck in my head for the past week or so because for some reason, I'm amazing at doing the "Ho"s. I sound like just like the game.

Oh, yes, I loved that final battle music. Boss was a bit too easy, though.

I swear we had a "What song is stuck in your head?" topic somewhere in this board, but I can't find it nowhere. This feels like another version of that.

This isn't not from the department of double negatives.

I don't say "how the monkey," but I don't swear, either. I won't even say fr*ck.

I once felt this way too. Then one day (I was probably almost 18) I was attempting SSB4 Classic Mode at intensity 9 late at night and the F-bombs just came out. You'll end up swearing. It happens.

151 attempts at Super Mario Galaxy 2's "The Perfect Run" brought me pretty close.

No game makes me swear as much as Mario does. I know it's bad because I swear even if I'm alone. The Lakebed Temple in Zelda Twilight Princess also made me swear a LOT.

I almost never swear when I'm playing videogames.

Neither do I. Nor do I throw the controller at the floor, or punch someone, like some salty Melee fanboy that lost a round.

BTW - Nothing wrong with Melee, or people that like it. Some people just won't give other SSB games a chance, though...

If you want to understand my tolerance, I've beaten Kaizo Mario World (with savestates), and probably swore about once, which was because I had to redo Special Stage 2.

I'm exposed to so much profanity that I won't be surprised if I start using words like that some day (but not soon, by any means).

Back on topic: Does the music have to be regular VGM, or can it be something like insaneintherain?

Of course; this topic is not exclusive to VGM. Go ahead. ;)

I swear a lot in dreams, oddly enough.

There's a song that's been in my head since the first time I've heard it, and it probably will still be in my head for years to come. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you WaluigiTime64's Generic Ice (Big Boss)!

What. I literally just finished playing this game. Of course, I will say that Yoku Man is the best Robot Master in the game, and has the best stage theme as well.
