Just saw the new site update and holy dam*, that Pinna Park arrangement sounds great. What swing! A little out of my league to play, but really nice to listen to! Keep up the good work!

If you'll direct your attention to the "In The Lab" section, you may notice my priorities have changed from less-popular songs to the more high-profile songs, just so I can get to them and no one cuts me off beforehand.

Hmmm... I'm thinking about setting up an Unofficial Mario Kart 8 Arrangement Project... But it's so late.... I guess I'll set it up tomorrow! Honestly, I'm surprised one hasn't been established yet. But, it's time I claim a stake at one of these projects, and organize efforts to complete the OST for the game, especially since MK8 didn't win the official vote. I'll need some help, though, with checking the sheets before submitting officially. I'm still not good at catching every little thing. Would anyone like to assist me in this endeavor? (Expect no reply until about 4:00 GMT tomorrow)

Yah. I spent a long while listening to OSTs. Those represent the number of songs I'm wanting to arrange from that game. I can provide a list if you want.

Ok, so all I have to do for Gourmet Race is 8vb & slur RH phrases for Alti's version?

EDIT: While I was waiting for feedback on Gourmet Race, I went ahead and finished "Let's Play a Mini-game!", and it's in the OP now. Check it out! I had a difficult time deciding on which melody to put for LH. Any ideas? First, though, I'd like to get Gourmet Race taken care of, so any answers to the questions above would be greatly appreciated, and I am going to perfect Gourmet Race and submit it before I focus my attentions on LPaM-G. Now, concerning your post, AngryGardenCrafter, I decided to dismantle the Swing Machine. I discussed with a few others, and it wasn't worth it to clear plagiarism and such, so the Swing Machine will now live on as a memory.

Oh hey, this is pretty good! Ricco Harbor has one of my favourite themes from Sunshine, nice seeing it get some justice.

One thing:

Slightly clashing F notes (on Measure 70), unless I didn't read something right and they aren't the same note at all. I'm assuming this is where "con pedale" comes in? I'm not too sure on that, but I am pretty sure that there is more clashing like this in the arrangement, which would require a parenthesis in most circumstances. If I'm wrong, let me know.

Alright! New update! Not much has changed, other than the addition of not one, not two, not even three, but four sheets from Donkey Kong 64: "Collect Pearl", "Guitar Gazump! (Diddy Kong)", 'Trombone Tremor! (Lanky Kong)", and my favorite of the group, "Saxophone Slam!"! In addition to more sheets, I also condensed everything a bit more effectively, so as not to make the page so tall as it was. Feedback (if any is needed) is greatly appreciated!

Stay tuned for my next update (which should happen rather soon). And with that, stay inventive, everyone!

I really like this arrangement you guys did, it captures that same mysterious feel imo. The only thing I would do is maybe shrink the staff sizes so it all fits on one page.

Hmm, what's going on with that intro? Sounds like it should just be D-C-B-G repeating...

Watch out for what chords the song is using. Measure 7 looks weird the way you have it written now with strange intervals, but if you look at the notes again it's simply an E flat major chord.

E flat major chord in reference to the quarter note dyad? In that case, where's the C, or is there not one needed?

What you want to do with the echo notes is up to you but just pointing out what you have isn't right pitch-wise.

E flat major chord consists of Eb, G, Bb. All of the notes in m. 7 come from this chord.

I played around a bit with some key sigs, and I also fixed the first 4 measures. Still not certain what key m1-12(?) should be in (the measures before the 2nd 8va), but in pretty sure the rest is correct.

Gonna wait to submit this and the Zelda sheets until I get Eden World Builder's Title Theme accepted; people on YT are wanting to see that ASAP. Looking to finish EWB this weekend, hopefully.
In the meantime, what's needing to be fixed with F.L.U.D.D.? Try your best to ignore the SFX and speech in the video. If all else fails, convert it to MP3, load it onto Audacity, split the track into two, and invert the second one. It'll help for the most part.

One thing to watch out for - the rhythm in the section beginning at m. 4. 16th-8th-16th implies that the middle note is held for a longer time than the surrounding ones, whereas in the original it's just the same thing being played, it's just the timing that's different. Either make it 16th-16th-8th-16th or put a staccato on the middle note (I would go for the former here).

This was actually requested by some AWESOME people on YouTube!
***IF YOU ARE HERE FROM YOUTUBE PLEASE NOTE*** This is not the final version, and is 99.4% guaranteed to be inaccurate in some form!!! Check back from time to time for updates and improvements, and I'll let you know when the sheet is accepted!!!

You'll notice in the latter sections there are two locations with the expressions "Here???" written. Those are two locations that I know something is inaccurate, but I cannot tell what. Feedback is much appreciated!

EDIT: Also, now that I have time and actually remembered that feedback was given, I'll be going through the comments made for earlier, non-submitted/-accepted pieces and making the according changes probably tomorrow.

Hey E. Gadd Industries,

thank you for sharing my video in this thread. Maybe you can help me with something really important for me. There is a game called "Hype The Time Quest", it was published by Ubisoft in 1999 and it has some of the best video game music I have ever heard. Unfortunately none of these songs (except for one) are available as note sheet but the game has many fans.

We want to keep this game and all of the amazing memories of it alive, so we want to add the songs to a mobile app called "Magic Piano" but we can't do this without the note sheet. Take a look on the one song, which was available as note sheet and got added to Magic Piano by us.

The missing music is available here: http://hypeforever.webs.com/musicsoundtrack.htm

it would be great if you could reply via email to me: support@marvinkleinmusic.de

Best,
-Marvin

Okay, I'm looking at FLUDD now, and I get what you're saying, but your suggested solution (the first & preferred one) throws me off. 16-16-8-16? Where's the 3rd 16 come in?

This is the result of a fun little collab I got to do with ThatHiddenCharacter! Truly, this soundtrack is the stuff of dreams. Be sure to tell us what you think! Any and all feedback is appreciated!

If you look at the OP, you'll notice there's nothing in the "Up & Coming" section. That's because while I'd love to get in another sheet before I leave for 5 weeks, I don't see it happening (unless I transcribe a reaaaaaaally short and/or simple song *ahem*). However, when I return from the 5 weeks, I'll update the OP with a definitive plan.

EDIT: Also, while I'm gone, I give my permission to the updaters, Sebastian, and Levi to submit and/or edit my submissions as they see necessary.

Aaaaaaand he slides in with one final arrangement before he disappears for 5 weeks! I did this one kinda hastily, given the fact that I'm leaving out tomorrow for the event. Nevertheless, I did it!

SO, as always, any & all feedback is appreciated (though don't expect any updates unless the feedback is given instantaneously)

EDIT: I almost forgot, Finale won't acknowledge an arpeggio if it's on beat 1, measure 1 because it requires previous space (the roll starts before the beat, with the last note played on-beat). As such, I had to add an empty pickup measure for the first arpeggio to play for the MIDI, but I took it out for the other files. That's why there's a slight pause (longer than usual) for it when compared to the other files.

This (Title for Eden World Builder) was done a few weeks ago so if you edited anything recently then my bad. I mostly just did the first page but some of it can be copied into other sections (whether directly or shifted an octave). I definitely suggest checking it over again since there are other sections with incorrect notes and rhythms

Formatting/misc
- You should add pedal markings at the very beginning instead of the middle. Simply putting 'con pedale' should suffice
- Consider moving the 8vb markings slightly to the left in order to extend the bracket so it's clearer
- The repeats glitch out on the second run. To fix that, select the repeat tool and click on the backward repeat bars, then check "Reset on repeat action." To edit numbered endings, click on each number and specify whatever it is you're going for. In this case, the first ending changes to 1, 3 while "1." is the alternate text.
- Instead of eighth note rests at the end of those measures, make the last eighth note a quarter note
- You should do something about those 10th intervals, like lower the melody down an octave to compensate
- The layering gets messy starting m30, and it might be best to write it out in one layer (at least for m34-37)
modified example
(http://i.imgur.com/zfYWJUV.png)
I only changed the layering part
[close]
- I personally don't see any purpose to having whole notes simultaneously playing with a different note value with the same note/frequency, especially if the pianist were to use a pedal or restrike the note. I get that you're trying to show different voices for stuff like m42-45, but there should be a better way to write that
- Since it's 5 pages long and has repeat signs throughout the song, it's best to put a DC marking instead of a repeat sign at the very end. It makes it less ambiguous and easier to read
- You could also put rehearsal markings

Note accuracy
- m8/12 RH there's a C above the A/F
- m9 RH are dyads
- (optional) for the repeat section in m13-21, you could write a note that says to add an octave below the first note of each measure (LH) on the second repeat
- m13 RH idk why you wrote it like that when the first note is part of the melody. Move it back to the first layer, and make the whole note a D instead; LH 1st beat is a Bb
here's a picture of m13-20 since I'm lazy
(http://i.imgur.com/1GY8HmV.png)
It might be best to just omit the lower D in m16 RH
[close]

Overall, good job :3

edit: I also decided to briefly look over Title from Wario Land: Shake It!, and I find the way you wrote out the parts is quite odd. You're also missing a few notes in the first several measures (and probably throughout the piece). I think it would look better as this:
first four measures
(http://i.imgur.com/tGGLram.png)
[close]
It looks much cleaner and is more accurate considering that the bottom notes last longer than a dotted eighth note

Also you should edit the measure distribution so that the last system isn't just two measures

I did a mix of things, but all are more playable now and I didn't have to shift the entire melody down an octave.

I've never used them before, so I have no idea if I put them in the correct places or not. But there's 5 of them.

Hmmm... Listening to the original, I can't get over the LH in m20. Both you and Seb have suggested that change, but I'm not hearing that over what I've got. Also, in the RH m17 beat 3,4 - m18, beat 1, the lower notes conflict with the LH. (I just realised my version had overlap... RIP)

Overall, good job :3
Thanks!

Cool. I did that for the entire intro, seeing as it follows a similar scheme throughout. Only thing is, I'm not the best at chords, so inaccuracies may still be present.

Thanks for the feedback! You're the best, Zeila! :D
I'm still working on Eden, but both file updates will be made momentarily!

EDIT: Okay, I've edited everything in EXCEPT the MIDI for Eden. For some odd reason, the Audio Engine for Finale 2014 rarely works for me, and this means that if I can't export a MIDI without copying Cage's "4:33". Hopefully, whatever's causing this to happen stops, but if not, I guess we'll have to find another way. Any feedback is appreciated; I'd like to submit Eden by tomorrow!

EDIT 2: Shoutout to THC for converting a MIDI for me! All 4 files should be up-to-date now!

Bossa nova is fun! For my 28th arrangement, I chose this piece to contribute to the push(?) to complete the Kirby's Epic Yarn Unofficial Arrangement Project! Jeez... 5 months since my last arrangement was uploaded, BUT I've gotten others updated and accepted and such. So progress hasn't been COMPLETELY stagnant! Dang homework...

Uh... anyhoo, this sheet is probably going to need a looooooot of fixing concerning rhythm and beaming, since there are lotsa quarter-8th-quarter (and related) patterns and I don't know quite what I'm doing with that type of thing! The last 12ish measures I had to get creative with trying to get as much as I did in the measures. As usual, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated! Once one of my submissions is accepted, I'll submit this one!

Hopefully, I can get far enough ahead in 2nd trimester that my homework levels reduce greatly, allowing me more time to do this! (I'm going to regret being up this late in the morning, though...)

"Boss Battle"

"Gooper Blooper Battle Phase 2"* (Timestamp- 2:47)

"Angry Wiggler"

"Very Angry Wiggler"

*Sorry this isn't a music video, but a good one doesn't exist; the only one that's does has staccato'd notes at different points, which isn't accurate.

For my 29th arrangement, here is a combined sheet for the 4 "Boss Battle" variations! Heh... things may be a bit weird (I'm still readjusting to MuseScore & NotePad)
EDIT: I'm back!
Anyhoo, as I was saying, things may still be a lil bit weird, but by the time I submit this sheet, hopefully I'll either be fully familiar with working with MuseScore/NP, or I'll be back on Finale. Idk which will come first. For now, though, I'll definitely be focusing on readjusting to this system, and hopefully arrange more often at that (in fact, I'm almost finished with ANOTHER sheet! *cue gasp from audience*). Just gotta figure out how to prioritize and balance everything out to where I can arrange while still doing everything else I am in life. Looking forward to this summer! Many things will be done! (No GSP, no school, no summer assignment, none of that. Just waiting for college to start, really)

EDIT 2: So... uh... Finale is kinda working? Not quite sure. I was going to work on this almost-finished piece but forgot I only have a .musx for it, so I opened it in Finale, and everything was completely normal. So I tried to open this sheet and it... almost works. The notes actually look like notes, just a bit spaced out. However, the jazz font works perfectly. So who knows? I may actually be back in Finale? Anyways, why you should care is that I made a .musx for this piece, but I don't know if it looks normal formatting-wise. Could someone check it out and tell me?

I told you the next arrangement was almost finished! I just decided to finish it up tonight since I really can't do much else scholarship-wise (still waiting on a transcript).

[PDF] (http://bit.ly/2meFC04)[MUS] (http://bit.ly/2mcRZKc)[MID] (http://bit.ly/2meG8LD)[MUSX] (http://bit.ly/2qISRL1)

For my 30th arrangement (yay for milestones!), I chose to do this piece from the Playmobil game "Hype: The Time Quest"! I have never actually played the game, but I've seen a few videos about it, so I am at least somewhat familiar with the game's concept! This is the first of 8 pieces from this game that I will be arranging at some point (some sooner than others). These pieces were requested by MarvinKleinMusic (look at the top of the page)!

This song is simple in nature, and rather repetitive. But that being said, having been released in 1999, the sound system is kinda tough to work with (add in chords and we have ourselves a real problem). However, I feel like I've gotten the chords matched as best as possible. Also, this is one piece that strangely works normally in Finale. I'm not complaining, I just find it odd.

As always, any and all feedback is appreciated!

It's time for my 31st arrangement!! This sheet is a collaboration between myself and ThatHiddenCharacter, making for our second collaborative piece! This song plays as you pleasantly stroll fight for glory in the first Mario Party 7 board, Grand Canal. The song reflects this deceptive cheer and delight; while it is a pleasant listen, it's filled with a devious rhythm scheme that's out for blood. Seriously, we had quite the time figuring out the rhythm, and don't even get me started on beaming.

But yeah, here it is, in all its glory :D as always, any feedback will be appreciated!

On to the next order of business! There's been a slight change in plans (although when isn't there a change of some sort here?), and now I will be working solely on the Super Mario Sunshine OST, as indicated in the OP! It is uncertain as to how this whole project will develop; I'm taking part in one of those fancy new Personal Arranger Projects that was brought up in the Updater Discord Server! I might post the sheets here as I finish them, I might wait until I finish. We'll have to see!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

(You're late!)

Be quiet!
Anyhoo, despite my lateness, this is an update, and QUITE the update, at that! I just got finished uploading EVERY FILE I HAVE READY FOR FEEDBACK from the Super Mario Sunshine OST! This is accompanied by a complete reorganization of the "Super Mario Sunshine" section in the OP, with a complete list of what tracks will ultimately be arranged by yours truly, and the status of EVERY sheet (color-coded and lemon-scented!), in addition to a different system of listing that involves OST number as opposed to the name of the sheet. I know this doesn't make things easier for you, but it's easier for me to find things this way. I'll change back to alphabetical when I complete the OST (still 17 sheets away, yes, but you'll notice that several of those are "In Progress")!

If you're interested in leaving feedback and want the original music, PM me and I can point you in the right direction (or just give you the music file)! I didn't feel like working with more files and links in Dropbox, soooo that's why I don't have anything in this post with regard to original music.

My goal is to finish the remaining 17 over the next few weeks and then focus on getting them on the main site, but I'll still be adding to submissions. If I think about it at some point tomorrow, I'll probably review and submit #63 to fit as my second slot! (I'm still waiting on answers to questions on feedback with #32/33).

That's all I can think to mention in this update, be watching over the next few weeks as the marquee text will change to include how many pieces I have left to arrange and the sheet I plan to complete next! Or, just look for the number in the subject line (see: currently), which I'll also update as I continue through the remainder of the OST!

Question to anyone who is so motivated to help out an arranger, how would you go about arranging this?
I already have a preliminary version arranged but it's really rough around the edges. Three things in particular that I'm wondering,
1) Would you have a pedal marking for this piece? Some things sound as though they could go for pedal, but the bassline definitely sounds too crisp to have it.
2) How would you go about the slide guitar? Currently I have a crap ton of glissando throughout the piece, but that's not at all realistic for someone trying to play the piece irl (unless they want to break their hands). Would it be better to just cut the glissandos altogether and let the pedal throughout fill that slided(?) notes effect?
3) There's the like, high register piano line in the background, would you include that? And how? I imagine another voice in the RH (and maybe octave shifting to make it playable with everything else), but getting that free-flowing rhythm to it is difficult. It sounds like it's slowing down slightly toward the end of each measure.

(For reference, I have the files for my current arrangement in the OP)
Many thanks to anyone so willing to help an arranger out to maybe submit this for the project :)

Welcome back to the arranging groove! I think a pedal works fine here because of all of the chords and slides playing, but the marking should be below the LH staff. I think sustained chords should be prioritized over a crisp bassline for this particular case, especially since the bassline doesn't sound bad with a pedal anyways. If there were a bunch of staccatos and syncopated stops, then that would be a different story

Currently I have a crap ton of glissando throughout the piece, but that's not at all realistic for someone trying to play the piece irl (unless they want to break their hands). Would it be better to just cut the glissandos altogether and let the pedal throughout fill that slided(?) notes effect?
I think something like this would be a better adaptation for the piano. Those glissandos look like they would be a bit too awkward to play, especially given that some of them end on black keys. I also think that you could just write the entirety of the slide guitar in the RH staff instead of mixing it with the LH. A low E is probably pushing it with the ledger lines, but I think it could be fine with the context of the 3rd interval above it. Also, I think the low Eb/Gb dyad would sound better as Gb/Bb

I imagine another voice in the RH (and maybe octave shifting to make it playable with everything else), but getting that free-flowing rhythm to it is difficult. It sounds like it's slowing down slightly toward the end of each measure.
I think that's only worth including if at all towards the last 8-10 measures. There's less going on for the RH to do, so it would be more feasible to play, and it also just sounds more prominent towards the end anyways. Coincidentally, the xylophone/piano/whatever alternates between the bottom two notes of the chord (which would also be one of the most convenient options to play). As for your concern about the freeform slowdown, I think including that would be too heavy handed because of the significant diminuendo/fade out. Excluding the second half of the measure by just writing half notes would also give the player (and arrangement) a bit of a rest in between each phrase

There are two options that I can think of, and you can pick which one you like the most if any! Playing the full chord while keeping up with all of the sixteenth notes would feel a bit too tense to play, and there would also be spacing issues between the chords and 2nd sixteenth notes due to the tiny distance between the two. That's why I recommend taking out the 3rd interval in the 2nd picture

*After some consideration, I don't think the courtesy accidentals are necessary here because they are implied through the rest of the chord accidentals. It's also a repetitive figure because the chords keep going up/down by half steps

This is what it could theoretically look like once you update the sheet, mainly for showcasing most of the formatting updates like the measure distribution or text alignment
