Post Em' Here!!!!!!
That brought back sooo much nostalgia for me, Slow. My brother and I used to watch that, Advanced Battle, And Battle Frontier all through our childhood.

I was never really a fan of Bleach, but I've always loved that opening.

you need the http:// in front for the youtube tags to work.
Difficult to choose the favorite but this is always a good choice.
Okay okay okay!!!!
This is the ultimate test to see if you are really human!!!
If you don't get the chills from this OP you are defect!!!!
I recommend turning your volume up
A LOT!!
Your speakers will grow beards!!
If anyone's interested, the name of the song is "Ai wo Torimodose" (TV-sized version), and it is performed by Crystal King, for the OP of the 1986 anime "Fist of the North Star"
The show, known as "Hokuto no Ken" in Japanese, is the
first anime I ever watched. I owe my biggest thanks to this amazing show, for opening the world of anime for me, "Fist of the North Star" gets all the credit for that one.
It is an amazing show lasting about 152 episodes, and like 17 movies or so (I don't really know the movie count :P ), and I have watched it all with tears in my eyes! I am serious: I cried like every other episode - A LOT more than "Clannad", "Kanon 2006", "Air" and "Little Busters!" in total!!!!!!!!!
The show has become sort of a meme in Japan, and there's a tradition of spoofing the show in comedy manga and anime.
I could probably list 10 anime, that I've seen, that has done this :P
Lucky Star did it. School Rumble did it. TWICE actually. Great teacher Onizuka did it. Urusei Yasura did it. Excel Saga did it. Gintama did it. Baka to Test did it. Air Gear did it. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni did it. Sailor Moon did it. Even K-on! did it. ...and Lots more!!!!!
Full version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbaaI5xf4y8) <-- I recommend you listen to it!
HAHAHAHAH and look: Lucky Star has a version too!!!! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7bgTc94kQE) They used it for the last episode!! :P :P
I'm trying to not bump too much, but 5 days seems okay enough ^^
Definitely one of my favorite OP-songs
Piano <3
I love that they change the intro and ending depending on what happens in the anime, so it's basically only spoiling the first episode
Not my normal taste of music, but it's just something about that melody. Not to mention that I love the animation for it
The Clannad: After Story opening was already posted, so here's the original (don't read the comments btw, the amount of spoilers is huuuge due to how the anime was built up. You'll know the more you watch ^^)
My favorite from the OP OPs (derp). Fun to play on the piano as well
This opening used pretty much all the epic parts of the first half of the anime, so ofc it gets epic
It's not exactly bumping, no :P
I really didn't like After Story's OP, I believe it deserves better! It's kinda weird, has some weird time signature changes and stuff - and I'm usually really into those (like in the Little Busters OP for instance), but in this case it like changes into some weird 5/8 stuff - in my opinion it's kinda creepy :S
But the opening for Clannad, "Megumeru" is totally amazing, I can't even hum to it without crying :'(
I'll post my favorite anime OPs now:
1. "Eureka" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hD5CNKBHzu4) - the second opening of Uuchu Kyoudai, performed by Sukima Switch (who also did the ED from the Zoroark pokémon movie, and also the thrid OP of FMA: Brotherhood).
It's one of the cool ones, in my book. I can recall winding back the video several times, just to listen to the OP again.
I am in love with this song, and it is my no#1 favorite!
11/10
2. "Little Busters!" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0BfMRMdL08) - the OP from Little Busters, performed by Rita. I have never watched an episode of Little Busters where I have skipped the OP.
I am well in progress of making a full score arrangement for WarioMan98's sheet music site, but I don't have much free-time so it wont be ready for ages.
10/10
3. "Ai wo Torimodose" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbaaI5xf4y8) - The OP from Hokuto no Ken, performed by Crystal King. Translates to "So Bring Back our Love".
Of course this one is one of my favorites, I mean IT'S AWESOME!!
10/10
4. "Bouken Desho Desho?" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtjrB3szKR4) - the OP from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, performed by Aya Hirano herself. C'mon we all love this song, don't we? :) Never skipped an opening of this show, ever.
10/10
5. "Tank!" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6jCJZEFIto) - the OP from Cowboy Bebop, performed by The Seatbelts, composed by Yoko Kanno. The show has some of the best jazz I have ever heard, seriously! In the big band at my school I am the saxophone soloist at this piece, arranged by me ofc. And we have performed it on various occasions. :)
10/10
6. "Last Regrets" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5PkLbsayd0) - the OP from Kanon 2006 (and Kanon 2002), performed by Ayana.
I think this is a very beautiful OP. One of Key's best. And even though it is moderately long and calm, I have never once skipped it.
I am very well in progress of making a full score arrangement for WarioMan98's sheet music site, just like the Little Busters OP, but again, I don't have much free-time so it wont be ready for ages either.
10/10
7. "Scramble" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6P33TXmba70) - The OP from School Rumble. Really good OP for an amazing show.
9/10
8. "Indigo League" (Norwegian version) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujsvBXl69Ag) - The OP from the first season of Pokémon, in Norwegian, performed by some legendary unknown man with an incredibly sexy voice. This is such a big part of my childhood!
In my opinion the Norwegian dub is the best, but that is only because it has had such an impact on me :P
10/10
9. "Dramatic Market Ride" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqP8qAuQgGM) - The OP from Tamako Market, performed by Aya Suzaki. I think this song is incredibly cute, and energetic. Very well done.
They didn't hold anything back :3
9/10
10. "Katayoku no Tori" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SQooWt-Au8) - The OP from Umineko no Naku Koro ni, by Akiko Shikata. Translates to "One-Winged Bird".
An amazing song, ofc one of my favorites.
One wouldn't exactly expect such a good song from 07th Expansion, but they actually came along with an amazing OP! :)
10/10
11. "Motteke! Sailor Fuku!" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieQ1rAIjzXc) - The OP from Lucky Star, performed by Aya Hirano, Emiri Kato, Kaori Fukuhara, and Aya Endo.
It is pretty damn cool! ;D
8/10
12. "Crossing Field" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpqUrIDHU9g) - The first OP from Sword Art Online, performed by LiSA.
Even though I HATE the anime itself, the OP is very very very good! Like, one of my favorites!!
Too bad it was used for such a terrible anime.. -.-
10/10
13. "Tori no Uta" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtJnix-9niI) - The OP from Air, performed by Lia. Translates to "Bird's Poem".
An amazing song!!! Seriously!!
Too bad the anime didn't live up to the OP :P 'cause really, the anime wasn't that great..
10/10
Now you can post Soundtracks and Endings! ;D
Evangelion...I love this anime (It's one of my all time favorites). This song makes me think about the deep things in life (Like how to pilot a giant freaking robot, how you appeal to your jerky father, or how you'll impress that wierd, blue-haired girl that your dad seems to enjoy having around... I wonder)
Now if we could only get Blue to watch this show...
Best ending? Case closed

I actually enjoyed After Story's op more than Clannad (I really like that part at the end), but both of them are great imo

Since so many hate Naruto I'm going to bring out Shippuuden's intense soundtrack, my favorite is probably
Then there's this tension creator
And this tearjerker
Love this song, it reminds me of DBZ for some odd reason.
^That song and this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8wWa3O9cUo), are amazing! :D
This is an example of how much Little Busters OST rocks!
Never heard a better ending song:
Go Don! Go! ;D
I like Shippuuden's soundtrack more >:C. Part one has some great ones too tho.
This one goes out to Blue, even though he's not the biggest anime fan. I introduced this to him, it was my first anime and also his, we still talk and laugh about it today. :)
I wonder why no one's posted this song yet...
And don't forget the old stuff too! ;D

Man, I hate that song. Not quite sure why, it just annoyed me. I absolutely LOVE the rest of Brotherhood's opening and closing songs.
HAHHAAHAHAahahahaaaa
Even opening 3? I cant even FORCE myself to like that one
Quote from: Bubbles7689 on March 25, 2013, 08:05:29 PMHAHHAAHAHAahahahaaaa
Even opening 3?
Especially opening 3. It grows on you. That riff at the beginning gives me a big goofy grin every time I hear it.
I listened to it for the first 5 episodes or so, expecting myself to grow to like it, but I just end up skipping it now. The middle part is ok, its just the beginning and end of the song that seems...rushed? Out of place? idk, its just bothers me. I mean it literally ends, like an ENDING. It just..stops
edit: oohh this one :<
"'Cause we're not gods. We're humans. Tiny, insignificant humans...who couldn't even save a little girl."
brb crying
Speaking of FMA music, I've always loved this song because of the waltz-y, mysterious feel it conveys.
also because the background picture is mustang
I enjoyed Brotherhood's soundtrack, but I always skipped the intros. I do not like anime intros very much, save one.
Why does the YouTube embedding only work when it feels like it?
It's gotta be http, not https.
Kind of a stupid background picture, but this OST is beautiful!
I don't get why they wasted it on the endless eight..
I would have loved to have Satoru Kosaki's job for Endless Eight. To be able to experiment with different types of music for the same material would be really fun, in my opinion.
Yeah, I know!! I hope he enjoyed it.
He did a freakin' good job - I think the endless eight OST is the best of the whole series.
It's kinda bizarre, actually, to pay him to do it as well, I mean, they didn't really need that many OST, did they? It's over twice as much as he did for season one, and they even used much of season one's OST in season two :P
Too bad I vowed to never do a strings arrangement again, 'cause if not, I'd definately arrange that piece!
Oh God, I did not know these existed:
Omoide Tsukuri ~ Sad version (http://storage.sos-dan.ru/files/audio/OST/TV2/Background%20Music/SOS-Dan%20no%20Meikyoku%20Album%20Dai-5-Ki/09%20Omoide%20Tsukuri%20~%20Ver.%20Kanashisa.mp3)
Omoide Tsukuri ~ Desperation version (http://storage.sos-dan.ru/files/audio/OST/TV2/Background%20Music/SOS-Dan%20no%20Meikyoku%20Album%20Dai-5-Ki/11%20Omoide%20Tsukuri%20~%20Ver.%20Yakikuso.mp3)
And I thought the original was good...
That's it! I'm watching the Endless Eight again!
I'm just gonna post a bunch of Melancholy OST:
Beach Vacations:
This song is awesome - the trombone solo is hot!
Full of Sorrow:
The composer is a genius.
Mystery Time:
As a saxophone player I can't get enough of this! When my soprano sax arrives, I'll definitely do some play-along to this!
I
LOVE this show!
So many hilarious memories...

Srsly, is there any show which has not been referenced in Gintama.
I don't have a relationship to Gintama, but I have heard somewhere that it has spoofed many shows.
Out of the Hokuto no Ken spoofs I've seen, I really like the Gintama one, because they basically did the entire opening of Hokuto no Ken, but changed the song and clips enough to not break any copyright laws - it's pretty hilarious :P
Seen 5-6 episodes of Gintama now. Not sure if I'm going to continue, doesn't seem to be that interesting (I know it's a comedy, I just haven't laughed yet)
Back on-topic:
Thanks for reminding me that I have to check out "To Aru Kagaku no Railgun"! :)
I have found a show with spy-like OST that can compare to Cowboy Bebop's: :D
I don't understand why no one's ever told me about "Night Raid 1931" :P

I didn't really like the first episodes either but it really gets gradually better (I've watched about 80 episodes now).
Gankutsuou is such a beautiful anime and the music is too. This piece has a really simple melody repeated over and over but still it sounds so epic.
Popo probably loves you for posting that, Nebbles.
It is such a shame that no one has put the White Album OST on the internet, I mean it's so awesome..
So I've only found like a couple of the songs on YouTube :(
Well, anyways, here's the awesome OP:

surpriseI love the part at exactly one minute because you can
feel it
Pretty good song, although I'm not sure if it fits Uryu well.
Jesus Christ, I can't get enough of Penguindrum's OPs - they are AWESOME:
So I'm re-watching Higurashi for the sixth time, to warm up to Kaku: Outbreak (which hopefully comes out before July ends, as it was originally scheduled to air in April). And I don't think I've watched it
after I became a musician, so I haven't really noticed the music as much before now - but now I do, and jesus christ!!! The OST!!!! It is excellent.
A bump that's totally worth it.
After finishing the anime, this opening wakes up so many emotions within me. Plus the chorus is A+++++++++
thumbs up for the amazingly sexy hair
Gotta say, there are few animes intros I've enjoyed as thoroughly as Samurai Champloo's:

-----------------
So, everyone, if you haven't watched "The World God Only Knows", then there are two things you're missing out on;
first, you're missing out on a great show with good humor, good romance, excitement and high budget for visual pleasures.
second, you're missing out on the music. And the music is an experience in itself.
This here is the "climaz song" and it's used at just the right moments EVERY TIME!!! This song always brings the perfect emotions for the climaxes, and jesus you'll feel the tears coming:

Man I was gonna come into this thread and post that you bum
I just finished the shoujo series
Kamisama Hajimemashita, now that
finally all the episodes are out dubbed, and damn the OP is so cute and catchy!
"Tonari no Seki-kun" is one of the anime airing this season (actually, it's my favorite this season), and each episode is pretty much just 7 minutes of craziness, but even so the OP and the ED are very good! So I just went to find the full versions, and man, I love this so hard:
obviously this song from One Piece
I suddenly had the urge to look up the second opening from Shiki. Still catchy.
Stuck in my head again.
Grrah
Right now I feel like this is the best anime opening ever
All the songs from .hack sign, most of the songs from Inuyusha and one piece
The Noragami OP is pretty cool and catchy. Could've been perfect for guitar hero actually :P
Wow these were pretty hard to find
Quote from: Bubbles on March 11, 2014, 08:10:16 PM
How did I not realize sooner!?!! That's the chick from the Pernguindrum OPs!!! wow, I'm gonna have to listen to the entire ending of every space dandy episode from now on...
Regardless of what show or film I'm watching, I always always always sit through the end credits every single time. I feel like I owe it to the producers to watch their names scroll past.
Nisekoi is pretty great. Onodera is sooo cute~ well, anyone gets cute when voiced by Kana Hanazawa.
Quote from: Jompa on March 23, 2014, 04:39:49 PMNisekoi is pretty great. Onodera is sooo cute~ well, anyone gets cute when voiced by Kana Hanazawa.
Yeah, I love Nisekoi too. Onodera's kind of a favourite of mine since she reminds me of a girl I know in real life, but I like the upcoming girl that's gonna show up in the anime. I've been reading the manga, but my roommate's only been following the show, so it's been fun watching him get trolled by the plot development
or lack thereof. >_>
And speaking of romantic comedies...
I had been reading the manga too, but I stopped when I found out there would be an anime. Nisekoi is just the perfect manga for anime adaption, don't you think? So I decided to wait for the anime and watch it. And man it's great.
I'm excited about the new girl! I can't imagine her beating Kana Hanazawa as Onodera though, that combo is just too great.
One of the most emotionpacked and exciting anime, covering all areas from drama to action to comedy. Shocking and mindfucking but at the same time pleasing.
Recently I re-watched Steins;Gate while showing it to my cousin (and at the same time checking out the dub, which btw was totally AMAZING, aaaaalmost as good as the AAAMAAAAZING original japanese). It's sooooooo good. It's about time-travel, but unlike every other media based on time travel, this show actually pulls it off well enough to make you forget about time paradoxes. That's a big +!!
And the OP gets really catchy after a while:
(Those heads at 0:25 are hilarious :P )
I love this opening. The show is a little bit lame, but this OP is the best of the season.
This is probably one of the best endings I've ever heard in an anime. Whenever it comes on my ipod I can't help but smile :D
And this one's from Haikyuu!! I couldn't find the actual opening because of copyrights (they were all either slowed down or altered) but the full version is better anway
Not sure if this was posted
I don't think anyone on this site other than the two of us have even seen Baccano, so it probably haven't been posted. It's an awesome song though!
I have an arrangement of the full version, if anyone's interested:
Gun's & Roses
PDF https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/75726060/Baccano%20arr./Gun%27s%20%26%20Roses.pdf

It was an amazing anime! Thanks for the arrangement, its really good!
Also this opening is up there for me! Kamina is the best anime character ever!
Also here is an english version
Oh I love Baccano! Miria & Isaac are the best! Tengen Toppa's a fun show too.
And now, completely unrelated to those shows, but here's a fandub of another anime's opening:
Probably gonna be stuck on YouTube just listening to more fandubs for now. >_>
That was good! I need to get to watching Nichijou one day. No idea about the rules of posting AMV's on here but this is a good one!
Quote from: InfinitySoul on July 11, 2014, 04:59:35 AMIt was an amazing anime! Thanks for the arrangement, its really good!
Yeah, it sure was one of the more thrilling anime I've seen. I wrote about this in the anime/manga suggestion thread way back - I do actually have a complaint about the show:
The background music is waaaay too good. I remember in one of those major fight scenes the "Baccano no Theme" music was playing, and who can pay attention to the show with a tenor solo like that? I had to rewind the entire scene - it was supposed to be the climax of the first arc, and I actually had to rewind it..
I like the feel that there was no main character. Its the same with Durarara!! So many characters but thats what makes it great. Baccano is a little confusing at first, it was always skipping between different years...took me awhile to finally get used to it.
Not many shows can pull off that whole skipping-back-and-forth-thing very good, but Baccano just does it so incredibly well.
True that, Steins;Gate did an amazing job also. Although it didn't switch between years like Baccano it did involve time travel.
Its so nostalgic and just gives you a good feeling!
Love this opening! So nostalgic!
I suddenly felt like collecting some good OP/EDs
Here are a bunch of good openings/endings:
"Eureka" - the second opening to "Uchuu Kyoudai":
The sixth, the seventh and the eight openings were awesome too, but they're so copyright protected that I can't even find mp3s... :(
"Puzzle" - Opening to "Welcome to the NHK":
Couldn't find it on Youtube, but the opening from "Kanojo Ga Flag wo Oraretara" is absolutely amazing. The ending is really good too...
"Ai wo Torimodose" - the opening to "Hokuto no Ken":
"Yuria... even ni" - the ending to "Hokuto no Ken":
"Boys Come Back to Me" - the second opening to "Mawaru Penguindrum":
I couldn't find the first opening on YouTube...
"Little Busters!" - opening to "Little Busters!":
"Alicemagic" - ending to "Little Busters":
"Boys be Smile" - opening to "Little Busters! ~Refrain~" (second season):
"Little Busters! -Ecstacy Ver.-" - opening to "Little Busters! EX" (OVA series):
"Junsui na Fujunbutsu" - opening to "Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to":
The opening to "Servant x Service" is incredibly good too, but not on YouTube.
"Meiwaku Spectacle" - opening to "Tonari no Seki-kun":
"Set Them Free" - ending to "Tonari no Seki-kun":
"Yuki Ni Saku Hana" - second ending to "Shinsekai Yori":
"Bouken Desho Desho" - opening to "Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuuutsu":
"Shuuseki Kairo no Yume Tabibito" - the eight ending to "The World God Only Knows":
"Megumeru" - opening to "Clannad":
"Katayoku no Tori" - opening to "Umineko no Naku Koro ni":
"Last Regrets" - opening to "Kanon (2006)":
"Kaze no Tadori Tsuku Basho" - ending to "Kanon (2006)":
"Itsuka no, Ikutsuka no Kimi to no Sekai" - opening to "Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou":
"Paraiso" - opening to "Michiko to Hatchin"
hm. I thought we might have had a thread for musical covers of anime OP/ED, but apparently not

It's probably my second favorite, after AoT Op 1.

It's one of the few openings that accurately represents the show.
It's such a strangely catching opening. Haven't skipped it once.
Long post here titled: I really should be doing my homework.
ANYWAY, in no particular order
(note: All openings are the first one, unless noted otherwise)
Oh, and I added notes to say what I thought about each one.
Openings:
Code Geass
What can I say? It's catchy, and the visuals work well with the music. Also represents the anime pretty well.
Code Geass OP 3
The only OP I like nearly as much, if not more than the first one. Idk, but 2nd (and 3rd, 4th, 5th) ops never tend to be as good as the first one. Imo, it spends too much time on the character art rather than the actual anime, but I love this song so much
Mirai Nikki
While it's on here, and I like it a bit, I have come to like others better. That said, it's still excelent, even if the "SU-VI-VAL GAME" feels really out of place.
Attack on Titan
Do I need to say more? It's the AoT opening. It's great, unlike the show.
Spoiler
Again, do I need to say anything? It's ****ing ONE PUNCH MAN
Parasyte: The Maxim (IF YOU WATCH ONE, WATCH THIS ONE)
This probably isn't that high on most people's list, but it does everything right. The music fits the show perfectly, the visuals are superb, and I'm so glad there wasn't a 2nd op to replace this one in the 25 ep run.
Fate/Zero
See Parasyte. The song isn't quite as perfect for the anime, but it's still excellent.
Gurren Lagann OP 3
Sorry, the only one I could find was pitched up/sped up 5% to avoid copyrights. Anyway, all 3 Gurren Lagann OPs have the same song, but, IMO, the visuals in this one are the best. And the 2nd half of the show is so good.
EVERYTHING TURNS INTO A MECH
Endings:
Mirai Nikki
I honestly don't usually end up liking endings that much. This one was pretty good, but maybe I liked it because I have found so few I liked
Puella Magia Madoka Magica (MODERATE SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST 3RD OF THE SHOW)
The tone shift is real. That's what made me love it so much. And it's great song. While the visuals are simplistic, it goes perfectly with the song, kind of like saying that the main character will keep going, on and on, after all the crappy stuff that happens. Like people dying. I just love this song.
Top 3 I just randomly chose
1. Fate/Zero
2. Parasyte
3. Gurren Lagann
Thought I'd also add some more Kalafina/Yuki Kajiura openings and endings to the list (I love their voices and the composer's music):
Spoiler
"Lacrimosa" - Black Butler Ending:
"Stone Cold" - Sacred Seven Opening:
"Parallel Hearts" - Pandora Hearts Opening:
Also a bit off-topic, does anyone listen to LeeAndLie English covers? Here's an example (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_bAbpoKD1s)
Never realized Yuki Kajiura was the one who created and wrote songs for Kalafina. Man, those songs are great. I can't say it will make me want to watch those shows, though.
As for LeeAndLie, well, that channel usually emphasises that the lyrics aren't anything special when you can understand them. That said, the one you linked to was particularly good. And it's really sad when their version of Lost in Thoughts All Alone was better than Nintendo's singer and Nintendo's translation.
I see Kalafina's name invoked and yet no mention of Fate/Zero's second opening (https://youtu.be/qDOylfNcHz4), how saddening... also, for some reason, I can't find the 91 Days opening — or even just the song itself — anywhere on YouTube or NND, but it's... really good.
Ah, I haven't watch Fate/Zero before (is that a bad thing?) but do know that song. Trust me, I would bring up all the Kalafina songs if you only give me a reason to do so. ;)

I always find the Japanese lyrics more meaningful, but it's most likely to do with the fact that they are the original version - it's not all that easy to translate songs and poems, especially when the languages are so different like Japanese and English.
And ikr? Nintendo's version of that song is rather pale compared to the cover, unfortunately. :/

You really should fix that.

JoJo.
That's all you need to know
Its not an opening or ending, but the soundtrack from Gundam Thunderbolt is definitely top quality. Thunderbolt is probably the best anime I've seen in recent years, and I would totally recommend giving it watch if not only for its gorgeous integration of free jazz into its storytelling.

like holy crap
