Title: [MUL] Crypt of the NecroDancer - "Konga Conga Kappa"
Post by: Gryphon on June 04, 2018, 07:43:44 AM
Ok, so I'm not new to the site, but I'm new to the forums. I'm not the best at piano, but I still enjoy playing. Tell me if I screw up anything in this request.

So to my request. I find the lack of rhythm game music on a site dedicated to video game music somewhat disheartening. Not too much, because I understand that other games have better music sometimes.

One of the songs I really want to learn; Crypt of the NecroDancer is one of my favorite games. It has good music, gameplay, enemies, etc. I've noticed that the game doesn't have representation on this site yet, and I don't know if nobody's asked for it yet, or the fact that electronic music shouldn't be played on the piano (I do it anyways).
The song is right here.

Thank you guys for your help. I really enjoy what you do in this site, and I hope that you continue what you do!

I don't really mind if you don't get to this one, as I'll probably struggle with it for a few weeks then give up in a rage of frustration anyways.

I don't mean to sound rude, but please check to see if something has been done before requesting.

Also, please read this: http://forum.ninsheetmusic.org/index.php?topic=1626.0

Next time only create one topic per game, and be sure to make the title of the topic match the others (with the console, etc.).

Thanks for the heads ups. I'll be sure to follow those guidelines in the future. Sorry for the inconveniences! As I said, I'm new to the forums, but I really want to make sure I follow all the rules. Thanks for the help and I hope to hear from you again!

Just wanted to comment on this real quick - I also was disappointed in the lack of Rhythm Heaven series sheets on site when I first joined. But as I started to arrange myself, I realized that what makes them difficult to do well is that they're so focused on the rhythm, so dependent on percussion and sound effects rather than pitched accompaniment patterns. That's not to say they can't be done though, they just require some creativity. I personally have not made any Rhythm Heaven arrangements yet because I haven't been able to get something sounding as nice as I'd like, but fortunately we have WaluigiTime64 and ThatHiddenCharacter around to make some!

You flatter me. But it's true, I have a whole slew of RHF sheets in the works.

Ok so I'm responding to my own request here. Apparently Konga Conga Kappa isn't the worst thing to compose for (it took me about half an hour to get the main hand). I have a rough estimate of what it should look like, but getting it on paper would be hell for me.
If, by any miracle, I can get sheet music for it written myself, would you want me to post the rough draft-ish thing here? And if so, what program would you want me to use for the music?
Just wondering. Thank you for your support.

If you end up arranging the song, this (Link) (http://forum.ninsheetmusic.org/index.php?board=31.0) is the board where you would post it. As for the program, Musescore is an easy to use, free software for this kind of stuff, but you definitely need Finale or Finale Notepad in order to get anything on site. If you need more details, there are other people who can help.
